Telltales from the crypt: The Walking Dead's first screenshot to the head
21
The Walking Dead is coming alive with the first screenshot from Telltale's adaptation, featuring the escaped criminal Lee Everett and the young girl, Clementine, looking terrified in front of a decrepit motel. Telltale has apparently stepped up its graphics game, and just in time to make The Walking Dead as gory and twisted as its ink-and-paper form.

If you took out the character models, I might've believed this was a shot from a Left 4 Dead mod.
Not a slight, just sayin'

This is a Telltale game. So it's going to be at least good, but not completely mindblowing.

Tales from the Crypt scared the life out of me when I was a wee lad. Just seeing that introductory sequence gave me chills.
A TV station being off air was equally unsettling, for reasons I'll never comprehend... and honestly, I still get teary-eyed when I see that screen of colors and hear that high-pitched buzz.
(I know, "wtf?")

I change my profile picture, and it says it may take up to 5 mins to show up, but it never does. I've changed it several times. Someone wanna tell me what's going on?

Try it on Chrome or Firefox. One of those worked for me.

Well, now that I've fully caught up with the comics, I'd certainly like to experience TWD in another medium. I mean, Season 2 of the TV show is 3 months away. And obviously it's going to have a L4D look/feel when BOTH GAMES ARE ABOUT ZOMBIES. But you guys haven't played it, so what does it matter? Anyway, I hope to see the first episode release before December.

You act like we were complaining... it was just noted. Jeez. Yes, they're both about zombies, so they're both going to look dark... blah blah blah

Telltales The Walking Dead > Dead Island
In terms of realistic approach. After I had high hopes for the teaser trailer of Dead Island to the actual game play now. I'm very dissapointed with Dead Island.

same here. seeing actual gameplay of Dead Island really put a damper on the anticipation factor for me. here i was hoping for a more realistic approach to the whole zombie apocalypse thing. you know, a game that makes you worry not only about the zombie plague, but also about day-to-day survival and finding food, supplies, adequate shelter, etc. instead, what i got out of the Dead Island trailers is a game that's a lot like Left 4 Dead, mixed with Far Cry, with an emphasis on melee weapons. can't say i'm very enthused about that...
