I work at the one in Wichita, KS. I think the sale started on Sunday and we already sold out of all the bundles on or around Tuesday. The only bundles we have left are the Tony Hawk Ride bundles.

@Downhearted Boy Oops, way over-generalized there. I meant, they're sold out of DJ Hero 2 stuff for Xbox 360 across Washington. Not sure on the rest of the bundles.

Kansas, representing on Joystiq!

Sorry, I just get excited when I see other Kansas folk on here. Tend to think I'm the only Kansas gamer when it comes to online forums.

I'm also leaving town for 4 days tomorrow so I'm pretty much hooped :(

Having a name with alliteration such as mine you tend to become a master of the "R".

I need a new drumset. I liked my Guitar Hero set while it lasted, but I think I'd prefer a Rock Band based set since that's my main game now.

I went to my local Toys R' Us on Tuesday and didn't have much money on me at the time. I went back today to get the Limited Edition The Beatles: Rock Band Bundle for $29.99 but they sold out. I did get the Value Bundle instead for $29.99 though!

And this sale actually started last weekend. Thought about getting it but I prefer the RB guitar

Dead franchises or not, 10 bucks for those super bundles is an absurd thought. And to think how much they were not even that long ago.

I'll pick up one of the DJ Hero's if they are still in stock, but contemplating whether it'll be 1 or 2...

@Lerkero Tell me about it. In the last group of music games, I got Beatles, GH5, and *shudders* even Band Hero at $5 apiece.

Just goes to show, if you price these things right, they will sell. When the rhythm genre was bloated, asking $60 for a new title was stupid.

@agentkuo

DJ Hero has Daft Punk in it (as characters), which is always awesome, but IMO DJ Hero 2 is a better game. Either way, you can pick up the other one used for a song and play both. They don't support the Rockband import feature though, which is their only downside.

DJ Hero (1) has a better and more varied setlist IMO, and DJ Hero 2 has better gameplay.

Yup, it started last sunday and ends today. I went on Sunday to pick up DJ hero 2, and just because it was $10, Tony Hawk. I also saw about 4 moms with their kids putting one of every game in their carts. I bet the one I went to was sold out by the time the store closed on Sunday.

Just called the local Toys R Us and they were out of the PS3 bundles. :(

Did any other news site report this before Joystiq? Seems like their bloggers have been a tad slow lately but Joystiq is the only major gaming blog I check regularly.
