UFC Undisputed 3 trailer invites you into an octagon of pain
25
The latest trailer for THQ's upcoming UFC Undisputed 3 shows off quite a few of the game's new combat moves, and it doesn't pull any punches, so to speak -- by the time you finish watching it, you may feel sore just sitting there.
In fact, with new submissions, some crazy leg kicks, and bone-crunching takedowns, we're a little worried about the well-being of these virtual UFC guys. Hope their health plans are all paid up! Check out some more violence (and a weird-looking Forrest Griffin) in the gallery below.

Im a huge mma fan & im stoked for this game, controls seem to look alot better than 2010, in which the grappling controls were horrific

@Tyrantbigbird I would have to agree, I really REALLY enjoyed 09, and I didn't like 2010 that much in fact I bought EA MMA, I found that game to be way better. So hopefully they learned quite a few things, and if not then i'll stick with MMA until MMA 2 lol.

@(Unverified) - As much as I hope to be wrong, don't expect an EA Sports MMA 2.
1) The first game didn't sell well at all & 2) Between the Zuffa/Strikeforce purchase and the fact that they've lost their (at least exclusive) deal with Randy Couture, they don't really have anything that they'll be able to successfully market for a second game.

Looks like they are focusing on combat depth, but the series needs a graphical overhaul accompanied with a reimagination of the career mode. Hope they figure out a way to make it less a menu management game with fights every few weeks.

Games like this make me wish I was 16 or 17 again and had both time and a friend to play these types of games with.

Looks awesome.. I was a little weary of actually playing a UFC game since I don't usually like fighting games all that much aside from classic Mortal Kombat.. But the last one was actually really good.. Depending on how good you are.. Could knock out an opponent 3-4 hits in this game.. Or the match could last several rounds showing bloody face and everything.. Pretty cool game.. Might buy this if it doesn't need an Online Pass..

@Yeah TB I find it stupid though.. I end up buying my games second hand.. At least for something like this
I wouldn't pay full price for this.

Hopefully they play-test this one a little more. Last one was biggy as hell. The online was unplayable. And also crossing my fingers for a new sub system. I could never submit anyone in either of the games.

Will there be Strikeforce?

@HammerOfNul Thats a good question since Mythic & Strikeforce were in EA MMA, but then UFC bought SF.

@Piko - PRIDE is definitely confirmed but I haven't seen anything about Strikeforce yet.
They may not have Strikeforce as a brand but may have some of the Strikeforce fighters depending on contractual obligations as a lot of them had contracts with EA (though, they might not any longer as I know Randy's contract expired with EA already).

@DigitalEmporer No, but because that happens in most matches. It's the referee's job to stop the match, not the fighter's. That's why you see them pouncing on the opponent in the UFC when they KO or rock them and the ref stops it when the other fighter is not intelligently defending himself.
In the previous games when you hit a KO the match is stopped instantly which isn't what really happens in real life.
