RELEASE DATEEEEE. I've wanted this for more than a year now. I understand there's only 3 guys working on it but at least tell us if it's coming this year or next for certain.

@Jakintosh

Looks like there's more than 3 names on those credits in the video.

@Jakintosh It is scheduled to come out "early" 2012. It won't be out by this holiday, so we all have to be patient. Yes, it's 3 main developers working on the game, but they have a support staff of friends and colleagues. The main reason for the long development cycle is because they are being extremely careful with publishing the game. They're self-publishing on PSN, but MS has essentially told them that their game won't ever be on XBLA if they publish on PSN first. And considering they're using all of their personal savings while working on this game, they want to make sure they're making the right decisions.

Trust me... it will be worth the wait. I played it eight times this weekend, and it's my favorite game at PAX.

@Jakintosh Firstly, I'd like to apologize for the long development cycle. Since we have such a small team and want to make a really outstanding game, it is taking us a long while to finish the game.

The credits in the beginning of the video are actually silly fake names. The development team has been a max of 3 people full time (it was 2 for quite a long stretch), but we've worked with a bunch of different contractors over the 3 years of development, so the final real game credits will be longer than 3.

Microsoft never told us personally that we can't publish on PSN first, but they pretty much came out and said that is their policy:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-08-24-why-microsoft-wont-publish-psn-firsts
We are looking at our options with respect to other platforms, but don't have anything to announce right now.

Anyway, I think you will be pleased when the game comes out.

@liquidsoap89

You are right. I remember playing the demo for this game 2 or 3 years ago on PC. In fact, the demo is still available on Steam.

But the game apparently did no launch (Steam has a demo, no full game), so it has been revamped (it looks way better, but same gameplay) to PSN.

Still, not a good game though. Not sure why it took so long to get it done.

@Dashx747 There is a very early prototype on steam as part of the IGF 2009. However, we have pretty much redone everything at least once since, so I don't think it's the best indicator of what the final game will be like. We've been working very hard since to go from a rough sketch of what the game will be like to a fully realized final product, so hopefully you will give the game another shot when it is released.

As mentioned above, our development team is rather small, so it takes quite a while to put together a game with the level of polish we are shooting for.

So it's like Audiosurf meets Falldown meets Guitar Hero? Well, the graphics are nice, sound seems a little obnoxious.

Is that the President of the company's real name? Max Power? Really, or is it Homer Simpson changing his name again?

@(Unverified) No, those are joke credits. Since our studio is small, we don't actually have a president, but if we did, we'd definitely want to hire someone with the name Max Power.
