The fact that this is single player takes it from a must-buy to a pass in one fell swoop, at least for me.

There's plenty of single player tower defense games out there, but not nearly enough co-op ones. I truly hope Dungeon Defenders delievers in 2 weeks.

Same here. I had just assumed this would have co-op, so even though I'm disappointed, I'm also kind of relieved, because there is already an overwhelming number of games incoming. I'm still hoping the same for Dungeon Defenders, though.

@R Planteer You should check out Trenched (soon to be rebranded Iron Brigade in the US) if you haven't already and like co-op tower defense.

I didn't have high hopes for this game either, until I tried out the demo. I loved it so much that I immediately pre-ordered it.

It doesn't look super-amazing on paper, but I recommend you at least try out the demo - I've been thoroughly enjoying it, despite its lack of co-op.

@R Planteer

There are already a couple of DD reviews out there. They came out in June. The game has been waiting that long for it's release date.

Gotta echo the comments that this is completely uninteresting to me without co-op.

@Gemini Ace

There is usually a small description including MSRP on the right nest to the articles, but somehow there isn't one for this game

I've been hearing about this game for months and for some reason thought it was a hacky slashy Diablo type game which seem to be a dime a dozen on XBLA(says the guy who bought Torchlight when it was $5 last week:) I always liked the idea of the Deception games but could never actually get into them so I'll have to give the demo a shot.

At 1200msp it would have been nice to see co-op. Although in OMD's defense, Crimson Alliance has co-op, costs 1200msp and is seriously lacking in long term replay value.

Is there a reason the "info" section isn't on the sidebar for this article? I haven't kept up with this game at all and clicked on this review from the link at the top of the main page. As such, I had no idea what platform this was for until I started reading the comments. I wanna say I've noticed this in other articles, too.

well to be fair, they're not complete liars, they just haven't taken the PS3 button off yet. it was announced before that it would come to PS3, 360, and PC, but the PS3 version has been scrapped. just get it for the PC, maybe? :P

One problem Joystiq articles tend to have: Why can't I quickly skim the article and see what platform/s this is for? It should be the first thing mentioned.

Great game. Played the trial & I'm gonna buy it tomorrow. The only thing missing is co-op. Other than that, a great out of nowhere game that everyone should know about & try
