Soulcalibur 5's pre-order character Dampierre is ... interesting
46
The Soul Calibur series has a long and storied history for inserting extra-IP characters into its weapon-based brand of 3D fighting, but hidden beneath the glitz and glamour of big-name cameos lurks a world of truly bizarre weirdos.
Take Lord Geo Dampierre, for example: We're still not entirely sure which major retailer will include the Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny alumni with pre-ordered copies of Soulcalibur 5, but we are entirely sure that his fighting style can be classified as both "goofy" and "incredible," thanks to the above trailer. It'll be interesting to see how this self-proclaimed "World's Greatest Assassin" will fair in combat against the world's actual greatest assassin; they both have wrist-mounted blades, seems pretty even to us!

Looks annoying to fight against.
But not quite as annoying as Gon and Doctor Boskonovitch in Tekken 3.

They call him brass-knuckes. Unlike Sonic he does not chuckle. He'd rather flex his muscles.

I have no idea what this has to do with this video, but I love you for quoting it.

Homophones are not your friends. Don't worry about it though; that's more or less the state of writing on any news site, including the major ones.

I can't help but agree... half the new characters look like they're from Sengoku Basara (but in a bad way). It's been clear since IV and the whole Star Wars thing that Namco has lost sight of everything Soulcalibur represents.

If they're going to get this wacky and slapstick, why not give us the King of All Cosmos? I'd pre-order the shit out of that.

This guy is tailor-made for my custom character Joker reskinning. In SC4 it was Astaroth so I could have him using the squeaky hammer.

Reminds me of Pierrot Le Fou from Cowboy Bebop sort of. It's that child-like, whimsical approach to combat.
