I really don't. I guess I just still reference spears and bizkit because that's when popular music just got infuriating enough for me to turn off the radio for good. I remember Burnout 2 or 3 had a Von Bondies song I like. I have no problem with Kaz putting light jazz over menus though. That guy created Gran Turismo and races in the 24 hours of Nurburgring, he can pretty much make whatever wacky decisions he likes. Just so long as he fixes it later in patches and dlc :P

@davebo
Totally understandable why you would choose to keep away from the radio then. Pandora and other internet radio services are where I find most of my music.

I quite enjoyed the Von Bondies song on Burnout 3.

@eat it
Well you're given the choice to change it so it's a little unfair to criticise them for their taste in music...

So does this mean they gave up on GT5 at this point after Forza came out?

I am not holding my breath, and Polyphony needs to get their heads out of the sand and progress with the rest of the world- Forza 5 will be out, and better than anything GT6 will offer.

Well, if Joystiq wasn't trying to be funny, they might have mentioned that more GT 5 DLC was on the way.

Forza is not leaps and bounds above any racer by the way.

This is proof that devkits for the PS4 are already in some people's hands.

Yawn...

If it's 2013, guess which game it will be competing with? Yep... Forza 5.

Though GT5 took way too long to finally come, I must disagree with GT6 timing. I believe they have the vehicle modeling engine down-pat and good to go for another 2 generations of GT games. The only thing they need is more muscle which the PS4 should provide for environments, particles, and physics can be added.

I can almost feel Polyphony's pain once they realized they couldn't do what they wanted with GT5 because of PS3 memory constraints alone.

I'm calling it. GT6 will be released in a bundle with release of the PS4.

Boom!

@type2red I don't know if that reply was Joystiq's system's fault, or you just being to much of a pussy to directly reply to him.

Here's hoping GT6 has a better ai, and actually make it difficult to come in first place. I usually pass all the cars the first lap then fall asleep as i drift off the road.

Sounds like your car is just too overpowered for the spec. They give you a list of what typical opponents power points are. Just make your car around theirs and if it's still too easy for you go below. GT5 makes a lot of options very configurable for the user, but it does rely on the user's self control. If you pick a car that's 200hp more than everyone else, you're gonna have an easy time winning.

But will GT6 be drivable?

My feeling is that since 2, every iteration has been worse than the previous in fun factor. And cool graphics alone doesn't do it for me. (especially when downloadable PSN games have almost as cool of graphics).

Probably correct on the time frame, it's that "love" part I have a problem with. GT5, more or less, sucked. In most ways, Forza 1 was better, much less 2, 3 and 4. Maybe they should pay a little more attention to the world around them, because they were passed YEARS ago.

And like all the rest, they're going to act like prima-effing-donnas about it, delay it several times, milk it with DLC and unfinished versions, act like they're too good to make mere "video games,"

...and it's still going to be BORING AS HELL with no sense of speed and floaty pseudo-physics.

g.d. shine-worshipping fanboys...

@(Unverified) Opinionated, but ultimately true to an extent. In just two years of development, Forza 4 wipes the floor with GT5, and that's not a reason for Polyphony to be proud.
