I actually had the issue on PS3 briefly. One time I loaded up the game, and once it got to the "Checking for DLC" screen it promptly told me that my data was corrupted. Considering I had already beaten the game, this would have been a bummer.

I restarted the game and it was like it had never happened, though.

There's a small discussion about it on Amazon under the PS3 version of the game, so I don't think it's version exclusive..

@solowing I had exactly the same issue. Only happened once, and when I restarted my PS3 it was fine.

I too had this issue and my first, knee-jerk reaction was to delete my save file. Fortunately, it happened only an hour into my game time. It happened later on (when I was at about 85% complete), and I opted for the restart route - my sigh of relief could be heard for miles around.

Oh, and love the game - my GOTY for sure (though Skyrim is currently embedded in my PS3 drive...)

Haha same thing happened to me. I was in the middle of downloading the Nightwing DLC, so I quit, let it finish and installed it, and then everything was fine.

I always use 3 separate saves for any game when I have the option. Save safe, kids!

@Pure Black World Tendency

The game doesn't have a save system that allows for it.

You can only back up your save by doing it manually from the dashboard.

And this is why these days it's like a punishment when you buy within the first month. Another example, I pre-ordered saints row 3, and it's been one crash to desktop after the other. People who buy on release are treated more like beta testers then like customers.

@Iamdude

Unfortunately, that's so so true. It's not even that there's bugs but games are shipping with severe issues that make them unplayable for many gamers. It's almost as if NO quality control is taking place in a lot of cases.

Even when they have time, Gears 3's delayed release for example, they still ship with problems - In Gears 3's case the local Horde mode profile corruption bug.

I think Valve are possibly one of the few companies that I trust to deliver a "finished" game. It might be late but there's rarely any issues.

I've beaten the game on my 360. Catwoman DLC, Joker's Carnival, Animated skin, Batman Beyond skin. No issues. I have the old/white 360 with the latest software.

I have the 360slim and only problem I have so far is the game freezes when booting up every 2 out of 5 times. It's kinda scary.

Haven't turned it on since Skyrim came out tho.

I have been experiencing this glitch where Catwoman and Robin are useless in the challenge rooms. Robin drops more combos than that guy trying to carry those limes, and Catwoman's pounce is like Neil Armstrong on the moon. Batman's awesome though.

@infamousgamer

Yeah, because it's so smart to rage and trade in a game that may win GOTY.

It may just be me, but every time I trade in a game, I instantly regret it and just buy it again. So my collection is filled with games I never even think to play.

Happened to me twice and when I asked my friends they said they had no issue. So I'm glad to see it wasn't me.

But it happened to me twice: once 5 hours into the game and then again 12 hours into it. I ragequit so hard I sold it back to Gamestop for AssRev.

I had this issue in Arkham Asylum actually. It may not have been related, but I had the data corrupted issue because I went to the dashboard from the game after a game over screen. As it turns out I noticed that it was saving data during those game over screens, which in turn corrupted my save because I turned it off.

I took care not to do that in Arkham City and I was able to complete the game without an issue. They may not be related, but if you have the game be careful about doing that.
