Quick question: Which control method is better? Keyboard or 360 controller?

Controller, definitely. I get carpel tunnel after a half-hour of Meat Boy using my keyboard.

I cant really remember since i havent played it in awhile but i think i prefered a controler for this game as i found th analog stick more acurate than a button plus i remember findong the default layout uncumfortable.

Even Team Meat themselves say 360 controller is better. I think you can accomplish more with a controller, but a keyboard makes forms positively interesting experience. It's different in a good way!

Ok thanks. I'm more used to using a controller, but I tried both methods and neither felt that great. I'll give it another go with the controller.

@King Johngie the Fourth Platformers are downright painful with anything but a controller.

I found the game infuriating as hell with a keyboard, with a controller it feels "just right".

The developers said they designed SMB to be played with the 360 analog stick. It has a little more nuance to pull off some of the more harrowing jumps. Your thumb will be screaming in pain after a few hours a day, so don't overdue it.

Keyboard, I only got to play this for a limited time on a computer but I've owned the game for a long time on xbox and I can tell you keyboard was much much better, infinitely better. Super meat boy requires accurate and precise alteration to movement that can only be achieved through button presses, although still manageable with an analog stick it's A LOT more flimsy and you will die many times because of it.

This opinion has come from someone who uses a 360 as his main console, my PC gaming is confined to what my netbook can handle.

Both work really, I play with a controller on my desktop and a keyboard on my laptop and both
work.

Awww, all they're doing is unlocking Super Meat World for people that can't even make 20 bandages? Lame, I wanted new legit levels, more than half the fan content is total garbage.

Or how about you give us the Gish levels the 360 owners got, hey Edmund? >:O Goo Ball/Headcrab is basically worthless otherwise.

I can't believe it's only been a year. Feels like longer for some reason.

Don't believe the indie powered hype, Super Meat Boy isn't not a very good game. It's entire designed philosophy is misguided. It isn't a platformer, it's a pattern memorisation game. And the art style looks like a cheap Flash game, because it is.

I completely agree with you. I was eagerly awaiting the PC version and a friend had a copy on his Xbox so I tried it out. All my anticipation fell through the floor like hot lead soup. It's just a twitchy memorization game, there is no real skill required beyond remembering to hit A at the right time.

At least in Mario and early Sonic the Hedgehog games you have good music and the uncertainty of enemy patterns.

Hmm, I see Tim and Gish on the graphic for the pack, and both Braid and Gish IN the pack. Neither of those characters are in the PC version... yet?

I've been kicking around the idea of getting SMB on the PC (already own it on 360), if nothing else to be able to tinker around with the level creator. Looks like this is a great opportunity.

I might spring for the whole package, since I haven't played World of Goo and have heard great things about it.
