I love fighting games, I love fighting sticks, however, I have more than enough fighting sticks and games to hold me for a good long while. In some ways I feel like I'm in a past bizzaro land where I have an over abundance of fighting games and shmup's in my gaming library for this gen.

@Stevetrop Man of Mystery

It's only a matter of time before the fight stick bubble crashes. They're producing waaay too many.

Having started with all Happ parts (competition joystick, competition pushbuttons) and having moved to Seimitsu stick+buttons to now a Sanwa stick with Seimitsu buttons....no way in hell I'd go back to Happ parts, sorry.

@zero2dash

imo different games need different styles of sticks.

Granted I'm more of a "fighters only" stick player, but I don't see any reason why a stick with all Japanese parts isn't adequate for anything.

The problem with Happ parts is the stiffness due to the stiffer spring. Their convex CP's are more preferable IMHO to the concave CP's (I've used both), but their sticks are night and day worse than either Seimitsu or Sanwa's sticks.

That being said - it's all personal preference obviously. Some people prefer a stiffer joystick, I don't (anymore). I'm also very impressed with how quiet Seimitsu and Sanwa sticks are (especially Sanwa).

If you're playing a specific game, you can easily modify any stick with different gates (ie a 2 way or 4 way).

I played all the way through MvC2 with solely Happ boxes I built myself, but after having built an all Seimitsu box and then now owning 2 HRAPEX's (but swapping out the Hori buttons with the clear Seimitsu buttons only because LizardLick didn't have the clear Sanwa buttons at the time)....I would not go back to a Happ box ever again.

@zero2dash so you admit that you used to like a stiff stick in your day.

That joystick needs to move a little south-east for infinite lulz.

Capcom should have put Zero on the stick in his Megaman costume. Just to further tweak fans.

I get the cup holder. In fact, good call, but why the hell an FM radio, David? Useless even as a joke.

@TheShaper A radio could drone out noises when playing COD online and the cup holder, well holds cups I guess.

There's easily enough room inside a VX SA to fit a cupholder and radio, actually.

So they just recolored their RAP V3 SA / VX SA and are charging more for it?
