I honestly don't see MW3 being a team-based game like they promote.

@Dhexodus It isnt. Objective games like Domination and Demolition are unplayable because people refuse to play the objective and instead sit in a corner.

Unfortunately, that's the main way to get kills in this game. If you try running and gunning, and you're not the host or don't have "lag advantage," you're pretty much guaranteed to die.

Huge fan of CoD4 and MW2, but so far not enjoying the multiplayer in this game.

@Oopacsunoo Play with some friends. Even if you don't have a full party, you can still communicate and work together. Since no one else uses teamwork, even mediocre parties can win objective games.

It's not prevalent in most matches, but if you have a party that can communicate, teamwork can win you just about every game. It also seems like the new mode, Kill Confirmed, seems to be slightly more cooperative than modes in the past. Might just be my imagination though.

@Oopacsunoo Exactly the reason why i stopped playing MP on cod. I felt as if i was the only one trying to complete the objective while the others just camp and wait. Too bad coz the gameplay is kinda nice but people just don't cooperate. Doesn't matter which mode, they're just like team deathmatch

@FlashJS Host actually puts you at a disadvantage in MW3 because of their fake lag garbage they put in this time.

Or maybe you're just bad? I never camp and I am almost always top of the leaderboard. Campers ultimately lose and you're just feeding them by submitting.

@Oopacsunoo Me too sadly this game is ruined by lame multiplayer maps that are too small, too confined and too cluttered up.The camping in this game is unreal, people hiding in corners with heartbeat sensors and using assassin pro. Then you have the terrible respawns and awful lag to contend with. And why couldn't they have designed some medium to long range combat maps, that might be some good for sniping like wasteland and afghan in MW2.

And before anyone gets on my case i'm a COD fan,i just feel letdown by this latest installment.I'm pretty good at MW3,but it's nowhere near as enjoyable as MW2 or MW.

The only reason i bought Elite was for the free DLC... There is no team-play in this franchise (for the most part).

@CleanUndies you got to either join a clan or play with freinds. You'll see the difference. They simply use team deathmatch for target practice.
Even with that, the game is very enjoyable.
But yeah, the communication is simply not there.

DLC almost makes it worth it, but it lost a lot of it's luster not being available right at launch!

This game seems to me like a very expensive map pack... They tried to keep the fame of mw2... Elite is for the spoiled rich!

Don't know what you're talking about. With about sixteen maps, you could equate that to about four Call of Duty map packs at $15, leaving us with the new game price of $60. If you add in that they touched up the killstreak system, it's actually like you're getting four map packs for MW2 at a better value.

Not to say that's a good thing. $15 is a crazy high number for four maps.

So you have to pay for MW3, and pay for elite. Total ripoff. This is only a service to take as much money from people as possible with as little payback as possible. There is corporate money making then there is pure greed and scheming or ripping off the customer. All this for a glorified expansion pack to MW2.

@StarcasM

Truth be told, I'm usually a conservative voter. They can do all this and make a zillion dollars. I don't care. That's their business. But I'm pointing out the idiocy of their design and how many companies offer a much better product and much more value. THAT is capitalism at its finest. Choosing a superior product is exactly my point. And no, I'm not talking about bf3. I'm talking any game that doesn't recycle the same garbage year over year, and then charge you for it. That business model won't work after mw3. People will catch on. Eventually.
