PSN Tuesday: DLC for thee in Resistance 3 and Battlefield 3

The PSN Store update is now live! The high-profile additions this week are Battlefield 3's "Back to Karkand" DLC and the Brutality Pack for Resistance 3, the latter featuring a new Survival mode, a theme, skin and weapon for multiplayer.

And, for PlayStation Plus subscribers, there's a free copy of Tomb Raider: Underworld waiting for you, some free PSOne Classics titles in the Spyro series and an 80 percent discount on the Penny Arcade Adventures games. You can see the full update list over on the PlayStation Blog.

the bf3 dlc is awesome! only got to play one of the stages though but woo cant wait for friday. hope the other maps are as cool as the one i played(idk the name of it, lol i was just trying to enjoy the little time i had) also want to try out that new mode people were talking about

The load times are pretty rough (and still present even in downloadable form), but hey, even that's worth it if that's all you've got. It's consistently held the #1 or #2 spot in my favorite games of all-time since 1994.

In a perfect world, we'd also see some Amano-drawn Avatars to go along with this. Duodecim's Kefka and Terra just don't cut it for me.

Why are we getting Spyro again as +ers? I'm not crazy right, they did Spyro before. Don't like the idea that Sony will just recycle content the gave away before. This the first time thats happened or have I missed other recycled things?

they did the same with crash. its getting extremely annoying. i didnt pay 50$ to keep getting the same ps1 games.

So then you don't renew. $4 a month is nothing to me, if it's something to you then get better at managing your money. To me free games is icing. Getting auto updates, cloud storage for saves, Qore, and game discounts it is worth the price.

People join this service at different times, and those that joined after some games were not being offered as free probably appreciate them being free now.

And you know people make different incomes right? Mine is tight, and things like this would make me reconsider if I would want to continue it. It is a good service and at a good price, I am just concerned this is something that takes away from the value, and wanted to know if it was a new development or not. And if it is becoming more common, or not. That's all.

Semi-related, I just got a message in psn inbox about the Renegade Ops DLC the was supposed to be out in late October is now coming in the next update on 12/13. Oh and it came with a free dynamic theme :)

At least you can do that. The PS blog is behind my company's firewall/filter so I'm pretty much totally screwed. All I can do is go home and actually check the store for myself tonight.

Really thinking I need to jump ship to another blog that actually posts news/releases, and in a timely matter.
