Duke Nukem Forever DLC introduces The Doctor Who Cloned Me this Tuesday
31
To be honest, we thought Duke's DNA was too invincible to be cloned, but here we are. A new set of DLC for Duke Nukem Forever drops on Tuesday, adding new single-player and multiplayer content. Dr. Proton has cloned Duke in Area 51 and now Duke's gotta eradicate 'em all. Sounds like par for the course.
On the multiplayer side, The Doctor Who Cloned Me also adds four new multiplayer maps to the game: Sky High, Command, Drop Zone and Biohazard. You can see some images of the DLC in our gallery below.

I'm disappointed this isn't a Doctor Who tie-in

Many games are inappropriate for children but you know something is wrong when a game actually makes you feel ASHAMED to play it in front of your daughter.

@monkey man It's Duke Nukem. You KNOW that there will be blood, guts, boobs, dirty jokes and pop-culture references up the ass.

Huh... I honestly figured that the parody pack was going to be it for DLC.

Anyone else get excited when they read this as 'Doctor Who' cloned me dlc?

Exactly the opposite actually. I was extremely relieved to see that it was not.

I bought this game on a Gamefly sale, I tried the multiplayer and their were literally like 15 people playing it. What's the point?

Duke Nukem needs to die. I'd play that game for sure!

This kind of shows up the economics of DLC. Costs basically nothing to produce, could be given away free but they whack a charge on it just because they figure if they make even $500 back on it they will be in profit.
Who knows, the DLC might be good, if it is actually new content made by Gearbox and not more left over trash stapled together from the original DNF. Although I have yet to find anything made by Gearbox that interesting.

That would probably be the safest way for them to bring back and enhanced Duke. Make them PSN/Live Arcade games. Bring them up to speed and into the 21st century and also combine genres maybe. Do some FPS levels and then also have a few levels that are Shank like to mix it up. I can't see them just doing another FPS with DUKE after the way this game turned out. I know it was basically 3DREALMS game with just some polish added to it but the series took a terrible hit with this game. Even though it made money from what I have read.

The younger me would have been anxious to fight Duke-clones.
The adult me looks at it as lazy developing. Oh..Duke-clones...ya...must have been hard to hit ctrl-c and then allllll the way over to ctrl-v.

Very stoked - day one purchase for me. I don't care what others thought, I thought Duke Nukem Forever was a blast.
It's also great to see a company delivery such a complete piece of DLC for a reasonable 800 points - single player and multiplayer content in one package? how many games offer that these days? (Not Many!)
I know Forever had it's technical flaws, but looking past them, it's a fun game.

@Axcalibur This game was by no means a good game, but I'll be damned if I say I didn't have a blast with it.

It is the cool thing to do to bash the game but I had fun as well playing it. Sure it had some weak moments and it is not quite as funny as it would have been if I was still 13 but for what it was it wasn't bad. And I only paid 20 bucks for it. Heck if you really wanted it you could find it anywhere on sale. I wouldn't have paid 59.99 for it.

I had fun with Duke Nukem Forever. Sure, it lacked polish for a game that was in development forever. Sure, the underwater section was a lesson to any future game developer wanting to know how not to design a level. But seriously, this game wasn't the most awful piece of crap ever. Reading comments, I'd be expecting something on par with the original Two Worlds game.

Dammit! I maxed out DNF and traded it in. Now if I want to keep it achievement maxed I'll have to rent it. Dammit
