Back in July, LostWinds developer Frontier Developments announced its intention to port the WiiWare title to the iOS and Android platforms. Today, get a glimpse at the new tap-based interface and scaled-down graphics. There's also some footage of actors playing on an iPhone and iPad to consider, if looking good whilst playing is an important selling point for you, Vainy McNarcissist.

I must say that this game looks quite beautiful.

Bringing it to a platform where people might actually buy it? Probably a good move.

Don't care that's LostWinds is coming to iOS, just give me LostWinds 3 already! Please! The first 2 were awesome.

2 was awesome. I hope this means they're actually developing part 3. As I remember, the story was left unfinished, they just have to.
And also, please please let it not be an iOS exclusive if they do. Brilliant as LW is, I'm not gonna be buying an idevice for it. And I wouldn't want to play this game with my finger covering the screen anyway.

Wonderful, wonderful game, as was the sequel. I hope this expands its audience, but I'm still sad that it didn't fare better on WiiWare. When you have a user install base of nine gazillion, I don't understand how gems like this go completely overlooked.

Probably because Nintendo doesn't bombard people with WiiWare ads like Microsoft and Sony do for their digital platforms. Not saying that's good or bad, just that better exposure sure helps...

I haven't played any of these, but heard a lot about it, I think this will end up being among the better games on iOS, a lot of iOS games are kind of shallow and repetitive, one of the freemium games I tried even ask me to pay to continue the game or else start from the beginning.
LostWinds will probably be among the game gems on iOS, I see this being a Game of the Week, and will be on some featured games list on iTunes ... I write like I lack excitement ... in my personality ...
