Blindfold someone who can hardly distinguish between real life and a video game, sit them in that chair, and voila. "Fend for yourself sucker!"

Alright, alright, that'd be pretty awful.

@darkinchworm
It'd also be awful if you forgot to pull off the blindfold.

How much was the total on the rig. Got to admit to pull this off with 3 or 4 42 inch tv's would be killer. Imagine COD with those screens

I guess this is what comes out of that $100,000 difference between a sweet gaming rig and an actual supercar.

If this was based on a space combat simulation game this would be my cup of tea. Playing X-wing Vs Tie Fighter or Freespace 2 on this kind of set up I would be in heaven.

Can you do this with Gran Turismo 5 with its multi-screen (and multi-PS3) setup? I was wondering what that option does. I know Forza 2's System Link does not do anything cool. It just gives the other screen a view of your car from the outside like one of the other camera options you normally have when playing on one screen and one console.

@AGuyOnTheInternet

Forza 2, 3 and 4 all support up to eight monitors in this exact fashion.

You'd think if the guy can afford all that stuff, he can afford a real car and take an HDPE course at a real track. He has no idea what he's doing behind the wheel... he never even came close to the correct racing line on any turn.

I've always wanted to do something like this.

Sad thing is is I have 3 monitors but they aren't all the same native resolution, which is a dealbreaker for me. :(

Triple monitor for any game is pretty remarkable. the field of vision is just so awesome!

A lot of games have been defaulting with terrible FoV's.... that shit has got to stop, or at least have support in game to modify it for PC.

Sadly, iRacing is not free to play, it costs about $8 a month with a yearly subscription

@StuBeck That's what I thought, I was going to try it last year (I even had a free 1 month coupon from PAX) but they said it was like $12 a month and they wanted a credit card number before I could even get the free month. I hate stuff like that and just don't mess with it.

I have to admit that I forgot I wasn't watching a real car a couple times. That must be a ton of fun!

Based the actual recorded footage, methinks that three screens are enough, the rest just seem a little excessive and useless.

Especially considering that you have a rear view mirror to see behind you.

Still an interesting concept.

That's a wicked setup. Too bad I'm not into racing. Would love to play that setup though. I wonder if there are arcades setup like that.

Those aren't "racing" gloves they are snowboarding or skiing (take your pick) gloves.

So that is even funnier.

FYI, iracing is far from free to play.....its basically an MMO racing game. The "microtransactions" are new cars (for different circuits), new tracks, ect ect. Tracks cost $20 a pop I believe. And there is a monthly fee.

That said, as a racing sim lover, I do like iracing. Its just too dang expensive for me. I played it for about a year (xmas gift card) and haven't been back. The racing is awesome, and there are always races, no matter what time of day or night. The races are always fun, and since its competitive there isn't a lot of BS.

Didn't mean to do a review...just wanted to let everyone know it is NOT a f2play title...

"as close as you can come to the real deal" What a LOAD...... I play video games for fun. This b/s of as close as you can garbage has to go. NO video game is close...... none, period. You want proof? Get off your lazy BUTT and go rent some time with Richard Petty Driving Experience. I did and NO video comes remotely close. The sounds, wind, braking, acceleration, lateral G force, the strain on your shoulders when you bank at 140+ mph. Yea vids are fun but DON'T even try to compare to the real thing.... shut up and go do it. I'm going next month for my 3rd time.

And WHY hasn't anyone done this for Silent Scope?
I tried but I couldn't find the memory addresses for the X/Y coordinates of the gun in the emulator.
