Since there's a good chance you can't actually play Star Wars: The Old Republic right now – or even log into the website, for that matter – why not listen to this sweet hip hop track based on the game's theme music? You can head over to artist Richie Branson's site for a free download.

Think I'll just stick with the original theme music.

My brother's been playing this game since launch, and he hasn't had any difficulties getting into a server. Are the problems really that widespread?

I hear there were queues that were almost an hour long. Longest I've waited was 30 minutes. He might have just picked a server without much traffic or just really lucky.

@JakeAuditore On launch day, the masses scanned the server list and spotted two types: The "Heavy" servers, that were where the majority of the early access members had converged, and they spotted the servers labelled "Light", which were constructed specifically for them.
Acting with the incompetence that humans all too often do, they swarmed the "Heavy" servers, pushing them beyond "Full". Now, on the European servers anyway, there are 3 or 4 "Full" servers, 1 or 2 "Heavy" servers, and about 12 "Light" servers. This has caused huge, pointless server queues.

Since the Early Access, which I got in on the first day, I've only had 3 waits and the longest was about 5 minutes.

^ Same. I've read the whining and the raging, but I've honestly only waited 3 minutes or so to log in. My server is 'full' too. Seems most of the North American servers are heavy or full now.

Wow, that does suck. My friend didn't put in his credit info to subscribe, and yesterday morning was the cut-off, but the website was so hammered with people that did the same thing it took him an hour to get it. I don't even want to think about how jammed the downloads would have been.

Was hoping for something so much more epic. Needless to say it was a bit of a let down, even though it seems they put a decent amount of time into it.

It's aiight...his next one "Jedi Nights" better. More lyrically relevant to the game.
