The intro scene for Parasite Eve on PSOne didn't call for every audience member of a packed opera house to spontaneously combust on a whim -- every exploding pinkie finger was planned out by a twisted art director and put onto paper before it was recreated on-screen. Those very storyboards have now been shared with the just-as-twisted world by artist and former Squaresoft employee Marco Antonio Velasquez III.
It may make us equally twisted to share them again with you, but we've never run this thing on a premise of morality, so enjoy these pencil sketches of flayed human flesh, straight from Velasquez's DeviantArt.

It's not like the first one as far as gameplay goes. It's more like an FPS on the PSP.

@MuneBeam
the 3rd birthday was a great game, just a poor entry in the franchise.
But yes, they need to get the license again and make something more in line with Pe1, still one of the best rpg's on the ps1.

I don't know where else to say this but here...
Rather than the word 'Deviant Art' being hyperlinked, should the words "these" or "these pencil sketches" be the words taking you to the subject matter of the thread??
I must admit, I didn't want to read the article. I just wanted to take a look at the storyboards. First thing I do is click the storyboard images contained in the thread, hoping to enlarge them.. that's a link to the article I'm actually reading. I do this twice because I guess that's not what I expected to happen.
Then I glance around rapidly for a link. I see a link to Deviant Art... well no thanks, what I'm looking for is the storyboard, not a link they might be included out of relationship to the contents of the article.
Shame on me for not spending the time to read the article. It is a bad habit, to be so ignorant that reading no longer becomes required... Believe me, I understand my fault, but at the same time, I condemn the misplacement of the words linked. I see this all the time and perhaps it might be because I'm a little high strung right now, but it's driving me freaking insane! Are there no rules established for hyperlinks?? I suppose I'm so used to ignoring link that don't seem of direct interest or relation to what I clicked on, because more often than not, there are, peppered into most articles, several other links that may or may even not have a vague relationship to the subject of the content of the article.
AAAHH!H!!!!!!! Do you know what I'm feeling now?
It's not a big deal. I should spend more time reading the article.. But I must express my frustration just the same. This just happened to be the straw that broke the camel's back.

I do wish that original Parasite Eve would be remade or a true sequel would come out that had the gameplay/customization of the first. Then again a number of PS1 games would do well with that formula (Mega Man Legends, Final Fantasy Tactics, Castlevania SOTN, Crash Team Racing, and others). I mean they were commercial successes too, I really don't know why we can't get this done.
