Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 update coming to PCs in Feb.
15
The Ver. 2012 balance update for Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition has been available on consoles and in arcades since early December. PC fighters have had to make due with vanilla SSF4AE and all of the problems that came with it. Thankfully, it looks like a solution is right around the corner. Better late than never, right?
Capcom hopes to have the Ver. 2012 update ready for the PC version of SSF4AE by the end of February, according to an announcement made on Capcom Unity by a dog in a wig. Further information will be announced "in the coming weeks," so we'll just have to wait; something PC fighting game fans have become quite accustomed to over the years.

I don't get Capcom, I don't get them at all.
Majority of their games, including this one, is built using Capcom's MT Framework engine. Which means the games are developed for PC and later on ported to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
If everything is made for PC first, why the **** do we get it last?
Backwards Modern Capcom is backwards.

Only the 3DS version of SF4 uses the MT Framework. The arcade/PC/console versions run a custom engine by Dimps (the developer of the game). Heck, the arcade cabinet is just a Windows PC anyways...

Dimps made Street Fighter 4? Uh ok... So why did Capcom even bother putting their name on it? Laziness.

Uh, because they sort of... ya know... own the property? It isn't uncommon for smaller developers to work with multiple publishers. Dimps also did a lot for Sonic (the GBA and DS games, Sonic 4, etc.), amongst other things.

@xiLeShadow: That's what I'm thinking. In fact, the original arcade hardware IS essentially a PC with Windows XP SP2 Embedded edition. Therefore, replacing the test and insert coin sections with a proper main menu can't be THAT hard and neither should applying this update.

At least we actually get it. We PC gamers are the "Meg" (Family Guy) of the gaming world. :(

I'd love to see the 3DS version get patched. Unlike Wii, 3DS was developed, for better or for worse, to allow for patching. I know Capcom previously stated that they were looking into it, but never confirmed it.
