"Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy" will be performed at Boston's Symphony Hall on March 10. The concert features compositions by Nobuo Uematsu and Masashi Hamauzu, covering the past 25 years of the series.
The concert will be conducted by Grammy Award-winning artist Arnie Roth leading Boston's Video Game Orchestra (VGO) and Choir Força. Final Fantasy composer Masashi Hamauzu will be in attendance.
Tickets are still available, with the standard price running $43.50-$76.00 and VIP tickets for $126.00. The acoustics are pretty spectacular in the space and we understand tickets are selling quickly, so get your personal assistant Moogle to order tickets immediately if you're interested.

The tour has been happening for quite some time (there was a concert just a few nights ago), and you only post about it now?
Anyway, I definitely recommend going to this.. If you're lucky you might even get to meet Uematsu yourself.

@RITHsv You loved the song from Sunleth Waterscape? With perhaps the most banal lyrics of any song ever made? A song that I'm pretty sure had it been pitched for a children's show would have been turned down as being too sickly sweet.
FF13 features some okay music but also features music that actually made me turn the music off for a while.

@Zimmy You have a problem with Sunleth Waterscape?
I wish I could hate you to death.

Okay Los Angeles has the Nokia Theater and the Walt Disney Concert Hall, why do I never seem to read about dates here?

@I am a machineee The current tour of the Distant Worlds concert already played in L.A. back in September at the UCLA Royce Hall.
I was hoping we would get it again this year but so far it doesn't look like it. It was a fantastic show, Hironobu Sakaguchi was even in attendance in addition to Nobuo Uematsu.

Understatement of the year. Boston Symphony Hall is one of the most acoustically perfect performance halls in the country.

A bunch of friends and myself went to Sydney for Distant Worlds when it toured there. We don't live in Australia. It was worth it.

Saw this back in Baltimore and Nobuo Uematsu himself was there. It was surreal...

Just went to the one in Kitchener Canada yesterday (concerts are the only cool things that happen in this city). Very nicely done and a good selection of music from all the games.
