Former Detroit Lions running-back and Hall of Fame inductee Barry Sanders is looking mean and keen on the Madden 25
cover, revealed last night on ESPN2's SportsNation
. After a process that saw no less than 40 million votes tallied throughout, the final head-to-head to choose the star of the commemorative cover came down to Sanders and current NFL MVP Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings. In the battle of the running backs, Sanders prevailed with 58 percent of the vote.
This isn't the first time Sanders graces a Madden cover; he's featured in the background's action shot for Madden NFL 2000
, back in the day when the games' covers sported the dude they were named after.
