As Agent 47's handler, she's gone to great lengths to protect the hitman, going so far as to bring him back from the dead in a climactic act of vengeance. Now, she's the target. That's gratitude for you.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/21/hitman-absolution-clips-cover-diana-burnwood-actress-profiles/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hitman: Absolution clips cover Diana Burnwood, actress profiles</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/21/hitman-absolution-clips-cover-diana-burnwood-actress-profiles/">Hitman: Absolution clips cover Diana Burnwood, actress profiles</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 21 Feb 2012 19:45:00 EST. Io Interactive has sneakily <a href="http://www.minininjas.com/uk/gallery.html">announced</a> its next title: <span style="font-style: italic;">Mini Ninjas</span>, which is coming to current-gen consoles, DS and PC this fall. The developer, whose last project was the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/18/gerstmann-gate-villain-leaves-cnet-for-advertising-company/">site-imploding</a> <a style="font-style: italic;" href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/kane-and-lynch">Kane &amp; Lynch</a>, appears to be going down a far more charming path with its latest title. Quite a departure from the gritty adventures of the aforementioned duo and <a href="http://joystiq.com/tag/hitman-blood-money"><span style="font-style: italic;">Hitman</span></a>'s Agent 47, isn't it?<br /><br /><em>Mini Ninjas</em> has already been rated E10+ by the ESRB, and Io's general manager believes the game has "exceptional appeal" for both young and old alike. Check out the gallery below (and preview trailer after the break) to see if you think <em>Mini Ninjas</em> will bloom like a lotus blossom later this year.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mini-ninjas-3/">Mini Ninjas</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mini-ninjas-3/#2042325"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/hiro_and_fartboss_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mini-ninjas-3/#2042324"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/hiro_and_samurais_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mini-ninjas-3/#2042323"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/hiro_and_samurais_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mini-ninjas-3/#2042322"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/hiro_and_fartboss_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/mini-ninjas-3/#2042321"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/05/hiro_and_samurais_06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/19/mini-ninjas-revealed-as-io-interactives-next-game/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mini Ninjas revealed as Io Interactive's next game</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/01/19/mini-ninjas-revealed-as-io-interactives-next-game/">Mini Ninjas revealed as Io Interactive's next game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 19 Jan 2009 13:56:00 EST. The founders of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/hitman/">Hitman</a> </em>and <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/kaneandlynch/"><em>Kane and Lynch</em></a> developer IO Interactive have left to form <a href="http://www.retomoto.com/">Reto-Moto</a>, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based studio "committed to redefining the online multi-player space." While the team isn't talking about its initial project, a press release announcing the company notes that Reto-Moto is in "active dialogue with strategic industry partners."<br /><br />In a rather incestuous twist, it turns out that Reto-Moto was actually established in 1997, and was the former parent of IO Interactive before it was handed off to Eidos in 2004 as part of a &pound;20 million acquisition. It looks like Thomas Wolfe <a href="http://www.amazon.com/You-Cant-Go-Home-Again/dp/0060930055">was wrong</a>; you can go home again.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/11/former-hitman-kane-and-lynch-creators-launch-reto-moto/">Former Hitman, Kane and Lynch creators launch Reto-Moto</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 11 Apr 2008 16:30:00 EST. Poor <em>Kane &amp; Lynch.</em> We were thinking they'd do better (and be better) than this, especially considering Eidos dropped them at Ground Zero in the holiday game release insanity. <em>Kane &amp; Lynch: Dead Men</em> is apparently a game driven by story but stifled by gameplay. Guess we'll wait and see what type of review <em>Variety</em> gives it since they seem to prefer <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/09/the-simpsons-game-glancing-a-mainstream-review/">one over the other</a>. As for the video game press, they give <em>Kane &amp; Lynch</em> a thumbs "<a href="http://www.metacritic.com/search/process?sort=relevance&amp;termType=all&amp;ts=kane+and+lynch&amp;ty=0&amp;x=0&amp;y=0">meh</a>." From the reviews it sounds like the title would have been perfect for a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/10/31/kane-and-lynch-arriving-one-week-early/">delay</a> to work out the kinks -- and really, that wouldn't have been a bad thing given the amount of games coming out <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/11/12/new-games-this-week-super-mario-galaxy-edition/">just this week</a>.<br />
<ul>
    <li><a href="http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3164354">1UP</a> <strong>(75/100)</strong>: "So there are problems that prevent <em>Kane &amp; Lynch</em> from fully realizing its potential, but its concept and execution are strong enough to survive them. We rarely see scenarios and story structure this good in a game, and that makes it easier to forgive some of the more hardcore technical game-design issues. It's definitely more of a popcorn game for the action-movie crowd than a hardcore shooter, but there's nothing wrong with that.<span id="bodyText"><span id="bodyText_PresentationModeControlsContainer_placeHolderHtml">"</span></span></li>
    <li><a href="http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/834/834844p1.html">IGN</a> <strong>(70/100)</strong>: "As well constructed as the plot is, one would assume the game would play smoothly. Unfortunately, it does not. Instead, it plays like a game that lacks focus and needs a few more months of polish. But then, most of the gameplay feels like it was pulled directly out of a game from the last generation, so perhaps more time wouldn't have done any good."</li>
    <li><a href="http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/kanelynchdeadmen/review.html?sid=6182836">GameSpot</a> <strong>(60/100)</strong>: "<em>Kane &amp; Lynch: Dead Men</em> is a premise with promise, but the gameplay isn't sound while the story and characters go nowhere. And it's got enough random AI-based glitches to make you want to scream. Considering the nearly ridiculous number of extremely high-quality shooters available recently, there's not much room for something like <em>Kane &amp; Lynch</em>. But the multiplayer is a really great idea that's worth seeing, even if playing it makes you wish that it was used in another, better game."</li>

The game will include <em>Hitman 2: Silent Assassin</em>, <em>Hitman: Contracts</em> and <em>Hitman: Blood Money</em>. and will retail on PS2 and PC for the worthwhile price of $29.99, now if they'll allow the <em>Blood Money</em> control scheme to be used in the other two titles, that would be sweet. The game ships June 20 (today).<br /><br />A bonus disc comes in the box which has a "<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/09/kane-and-lynch-gets-new-mullet-rich-trailer/">preview</a>" of <em>Kane &amp; Lynch: Dead Men</em>, IO Interactive's latest title which features a mercenary and his lovable psychotic associate. IO Interactive is a company that really doesn't get the attention it deserves. The <em>Hitman</em> series has been a <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2006/05/31/uk-sales-charts-may-21-27-hitman-hits-the-spot/">sleeper hit</a> for the company and they were also the developers behind the excellent <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_Fighters_%28video_game%29"><em>Freedom Fighters</em></a>. As much as we like Agent 47, and wish all the best for Kane and Lynch, another chance at <em>Freedom Fighters</em> would be a nice surprise.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2007/06/20/three-hitman-hits-chopped-up-and-stuffed-in-a-box/">Three Hitman hits chopped up and stuffed in a box</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 20 Jun 2007 11:57:00 EST.
