The cheat codes are just that, they unlock things like all the magic spells or accessing the deepest part of the forest. But they'll cost you. Each cheat will set you back 20 Microsoft points which isn't all that expensive, but then again they are simply cheat codes which seems like a rip off. We aren't sure on this one, so you be the judge on the value of these. What we can agree on is that free things are a super great deal and we're happy to see the pixie costume be a free download.

It should also be noted that all the new content is not available in Asia. Why? Because they already have all this paid content as it's included in their retail version of the game. Hurts a little doesn't it?
Bullet Witch: Pay for cheats, get pixie free originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 04 Jun 2007 10:15:00 EST. Has your copy of Bullet Witch just been sitting around gathering dust? Well, there's nothing you can do about that; you traded it to EB Games fair and square. No, we don't blame you, we just wanted to let you know that the new content for the game on Marketplace isn't going to do you much good. For those of you who are still hanging with the B-Witch, you'll be able to spend a quarter on a remixed level or the new secretary's costume. ("Eyes like gun barrels hidden behind glasses." They should officially be charging for descriptions.)

Also today, Test Drive Unlimited fans are even more unlimited in their choice of car with the new free Saturn Curve download and a 350-point pack that includes the Ferrari Challenge Stradale, Cadillac Cien, RUF RK Spyder, Dino 246 GT, Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster, TVR T440R. If a majority of that sentence wasn't moon man talk to you, it should be $4.37 well spent.
If not, you should know that in Japan they can download free costumes and additional missions, something that the States don't have access to yet. The short answer is that the content is already on the game itself, but isn't "unlocked" yet via a Marketplace key download. But don't fret guys, the fine folks over at Sekiria.com have found a workaround so you too can have the additional (somewhat Japan exclusive) costumes and missions. All you need is the Datel Transfer Kit, export and rename a few files, and shazaam ... instant additional content. Of course it really isn't worth purchasing the transfer kit just for this, but if you already own it we'd give this little hack a whirl. Chalk one up for the the free-content-workaround mavens, they are a good hearted and knowledgeable bunch.

[Thanks, Jake C.]
Unlock Japanese Bullet Witch content originally appeared on Joystiq on Sun, 04 Mar 2007 09:30:00 EST. Today, Atari announced that the magical Bullet Witch has gone gold and is being pressed to disc as you read this. We know that we have been somewhat hostile towards the possibility of this game actually being good, but we'll hold our tongue until the reviews trickle in. If you've been waiting for this long time coming Japanese game then get your pre-order on and pick it up February 27th. And did we mention it'll retail for a slightly cheaper $49.99 price point? Every penny counts kids.
She is so shiny, Bullet Witch gone gold originally appeared on Joystiq on Fri, 09 Feb 2007 16:45:00 EST. Atari seems to really be pushing this game and is now offering the comic to anyone who pre-orders Bullet Witch. What we've seen of Bullet Witch looks decent, but the comic threatens to be more interesting than the game itself. We're wondering if Atari and Prima -- the comic's publisher -- are planning to create an actual series or just leave it at one promotional comic book. Bullet Witch has an interesting concept, so hopefully they'll turn it into a full-fledged series. The hype for this third person shooter is pretty lackluster, but the Live functionality may make it shine. Online leaderboards for every level, downloadable costumes and new maps ... oh the joy of Live. But what's really cool is that the first pack of content up for download will be 100% free! But beware, the game seems a bit ... how do we say it ... stale? We have yet to hear when or what will be offered free (hopefully not just some lame costumes), but we refuse to complain about free stuff. A run-and-gun 3rd person action game, Bullet Witch, was once a Japanese game without an American publisher. That is, until Atari announced it would publish the game under the new policy of diversifying their lineup. That, however, was way back in August, and not much has been said since. Until now: EB now has Bullet Witch listed for a February 2007 release. Granted, EB and their ilk don't always have the most accurate release dates, it's nice to see Bullet Witch on the radar. Then again, once Lost Planet comes out, we may not need another 3rd person action game.

[Thanks, delerious]
Bullet Witch to miss Halloween originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 30 Oct 2006 14:30:00 EST.
As part of an ongoing initiative to bring us games with "mass market" appeal, Atari has agreed to publish Cavia's Bullet Witch. The agreement was made with AQ Interactive, the game's Japanese publisher. Atari noted that the deal signifies the beginning of an ongoing relationship between the two companies. Nique Fajors, Atari's vice president of sales and marketing said of the deal:

"We are very pleased to announce this partnership with AQ Interactive Inc. and look forward to working with them on Bullet Witch and beyond. To offer an engaging and unique title such as Bullet Witch to kick start our partnership underlines Atari's commitment to bringing interesting and different titles to gamers all over the world."

Good news indeed. Now how about a release date? Oh, and, Atari, there's this other game that could use a US publisher, too. Could you handle that? Yeah, that'd be greeeeat, thanks.
Ding, dong, the Bullet Witch is published originally appeared on Joystiq on Thu, 10 Aug 2006 10:30:00 EST. At least they would if they weren't inanimate. After the less than impressive E3 video, this one shows a much better looking game with some impressive gunplay and bigger 'splosions. The video is highly reminiscent of Otogi on the original Xbox, which isn't a bad thing at all.

The game will hit Japanese shelves on July 27th. Any would be importers out there?
Bullet Witch blows things up real good originally appeared on Joystiq on Sun, 09 Jul 2006 16:30:00 EST.
