In a statement today, Tecmo Koei confirms Yosuke Hayashi will oversee Group 1, while <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/fatal-frame"><em>Fatal Frame</em></a> series alum Keisuke Kikuchi will get a bump up to head of Group 2. We've followed up with Tecmo Koei to confirm how this reorganization may affect others at the Japanese development house.<br /><br />This news comes at a busy time for Tecmo Koei, who just launched <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/dead-or-alive-5-plus"><em>Dead or Alive 5 Plus</em></a> on the PS Vita and is currently gearing up to port <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/ninja-gaiden-3-razors-edge"><em>Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge</em></a> to the PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 2. A <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/12/psa-ninja-gaiden-3-razors-edge-demo-out-today-on-ps3-xbox/">demo</a> for <em>Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge</em> is currently available on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/25/team-ninja-split-into-two-groups-in-tecmo-koei-reorganization/">Team Ninja split into two groups in Tecmo Koei reorganization</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 25 Mar 2013 16:20:00 EST. That may well mean it arrives after launch - Team Ninja was <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/05/ninja-gaiden-3-razors-edge-demo-coming-to-psn-and-xbl/">more concrete</a> earlier this week about a <em>Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge</em> demo hitting <em>before</em> launch.<br /><br />As demos go, however, <em>DOA5 Plus's</em> looks like it'll provide a good sample of the game. It supports <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/17/how-cross-play-works-in-dead-or-alive-5-plus/">Cross-Play with PS3 players of <em>DOA5</em></a> as well as the <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/14/dead-or-alive-5-plus-touch-fight-mode-exactly-what-it-sounds-l/">new Touch Fight mode</a>, and includes eight stages and four characters to play as (Eliot, Hayabusa, Kasumi, and Tina) while fighting any of the roster as computer opponents. Also, being able to transfer save data from the demo to the actual game is always something of a <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC75aU47GRk">Plus</a>.<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/07/dead-or-alive-5-plus-demo-hits-close-to-launch/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Dead or Alive 5 Plus demo hits 'close' to launch</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/07/dead-or-alive-5-plus-demo-hits-close-to-launch/">Dead or Alive 5 Plus demo hits 'close' to launch</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 07 Mar 2013 15:30:00 EST. You'll be able to see via an icon whether your opponent is playing on Vita or PS3, a distinction that will also be shown in rankings.<br /><br />Team Ninja also promises 60 frames per second in cross-platform matches, on both platforms. And your saves will work across platforms, like other Cross-Save games, so there's really nothing stopping you from maintaining your lifestyle of playing <em>Dead or Alive 5</em> absolutely all the time. Well, nothing but a depleted Vita battery coinciding with a home power failure. <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus/">Dead or Alive 5 Plus</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus/#5580678"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/doa5plusgroupbcross-goodskasumi-vs-ayane_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus/#5580679"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/doa5plusgroupbcross-playkasumi-vs-ayane_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus/#5580680"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/doa5plusgroupbcross-saverisa-win_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus/#5580683"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/doa5plusgroupbcross-goodsdiagramen_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus/#5580684"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2013/01/doa5plusgroupbcross-playdiagramen_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/17/how-cross-play-works-in-dead-or-alive-5-plus/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>How Cross-Play works in Dead or Alive 5 Plus</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/17/how-cross-play-works-in-dead-or-alive-5-plus/">How Cross-Play works in Dead or Alive 5 Plus</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 17 Jan 2013 18:15:00 EST. Well, in-game at least.<br /><br />Team Ninja's coming portable adaptation of last September's <em>Dead or Alive 5 </em>will support both Cross Play and Cross Buy functionality, according to Siliconera's <a href="http://www.siliconera.com/2013/01/16/dead-or-alive-5-plus-supports-cross-play-and-cross-system-costume-dlc/">translation of Famitsu</a>. Like <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/20/hands-on-street-fighter-x-tekken-vita-ps3-crossplay-bear-extrav/">other Cross Play enabled titles</a>, Vita owners will be able to challenge people playing the PlayStation 3 original when battling online. Likewise, any DLC purchased on either system will automatically be applied to the other, meaning that the PS3's limited edition/pre-order costumes will appear on the Vita, and vice-versa.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/16/dead-or-alive-5-plus-to-support-cross-play-cross-buy-dlc/">Dead or Alive 5 Plus to support Cross Play, Cross Buy DLC</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 16 Jan 2013 16:45:00 EST. In "Mode 2," you "touch, flick and pinch the screen" to launch moves. According to Tecmo, both modes have the advantage of giving you a full-screen view of your opponent "in the highest graphic detail." <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus-ps-vita/">Dead or Alive 5 Plus (PS Vita)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus-ps-vita/#5513235"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/doa5-vita-5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus-ps-vita/#5513236"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/doa5-vita-6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus-ps-vita/#5513237"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/doa5-vita-7_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus-ps-vita/#5513238"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/doa5-vita-8_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/dead-or-alive-5-plus-ps-vita/#5513239"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/12/doa5-vita-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/20/touch-flick-and-pinch-to-fight-in-dead-or-alive-5-plus/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>'Touch, flick, and pinch' to fight in Dead or Alive 5 Plus</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/20/touch-flick-and-pinch-to-fight-in-dead-or-alive-5-plus/">'Touch, flick, and pinch' to fight in Dead or Alive 5 Plus</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Dec 2012 15:00:00 EST. Team Ninja confirmed earlier this week that the fighter is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/12/dead-or-alive-5-plus-tags-europe-and-australia-on-march-22/">due in Europe and Australia</a> on March 22, but the developer revealed the US release date via the game's newly launched website. <br /><br /><em>Dead or Alive 5 Plus</em> is bringing few extras to Sony's handheld. With the Vita held vertically, you can use its motion sensor to get a full-screen, first-person view of your opponent, while publisher Tecmo says the port's touch controls will let you trigger moves via "simple taps, swipes, and pinches on your opponent."<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/14/dead-or-alive-5-plus-punches-in-march-19-2013-in-us/">Dead or Alive 5 Plus punches in March 19, 2013 in US</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 14 Dec 2012 08:00:00 EST. Details are slim at the moment, although we do know that the port is expected to hit Sony's handheld sometime during the early part of 2013. An update to the console version of <em>DOA5</em> is also expected sometime next year.<br /><br />The reveal, made on the official IGN Pro League <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=z1_ewRYND70">YouTube channel</a>, comes shortly after the announcement that <em>Dead or Alive 5</em> will be added to IPL's official stable of e-sports titles. Starting in 2013, <em>DOA5</em> tournaments will be held alongside IPL's other events, which currently include <em>Starcraft 2</em> and <em>League of Legends</em>, among others.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/01/dead-or-alive-5-plus-announced-for-vita-coming-early-2013/">Dead or Alive 5 Plus announced for Vita, coming early 2013</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 01 Dec 2012 13:58:00 EST.
