Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero: May DLC

It's the beginning of the month, which means it's time to run down the list of Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero DLC. In May, we're getting three separate track packs -- the last week of the month seems to be void of anything new, for some reason.

Like alternative pop ensembles like Snow Patrol and Alpha Rev? How about classic rock troupes such as Steve Miller Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd? How about Love in an Elevator? No, we mean the Aerosmith song, not that time you were trapped and -- forget we said anything.

Rock Band Weekly: Foreigner and more Warped Tour

Next week's Rock Band Weekly has been revealed through Harmonix's Rock Band "community zine," sent through the intertubes by email. The great thing about the zine is that it gives an idea of what tracks to expect next week. The problem is that it doesn't give prices for tracks or packs. We'd guess standard rates apply, but we can't say for sure right now. We'll update when the "official" announcement is made tomorrow and add prices.

Guitar Hero World Tour launch DLC now on XBLM

Preparing for Sunday's official launch of Guitar Hero World Tour, the franchise's foray into multi-instrument virtual rocking, Neversoft has released the first three track packs to Xbox Live. Best of all, they're competitively priced with Rock Band's DLC. Although we take issue with "Jessie's Girl" being in a "classic rock" pack, we jump at any opportunity to put Ricky's glamor shot on Joystiq.
