The PlayStation Vita will do a lot of things besides play games, but it won't be able to operate the web browser and a game at the same time, meaning you'll have to exit out of<em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/uncharted-golden-abyss">Uncharted: Golden Abyss</a></em> before searching for its Game FAQs on the same screen, Andriasang reports. Vita will allow users to access personal music, Twitter, friends lists and more while a game is running, but web browsing will not be an option, at least at launch.<br />
<br />
Sony used the word "initially" when describing the web-browsing clause, which makes it seem like a function that will be added after Vita's release, Andriasang notes.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/12/04/vita-wont-support-simultaneous-web-browsing-and-gameplay/">Vita won't support simultaneous web browsing and gameplay</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 04 Dec 2011 17:30:00 EST. As any karaoke connoisseur will tell you, the only sure-fire way to win the minds and hearts of your audience is through the hypnotically entrancing black magic of the <em>power ballad</em>. Sony realizes this, and in order to ensure maximum audience mind malleability, it'll be releasing <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/singstar-back-to-the-80s"><em>SingStar Back To The 80s</em></a> sometime before Christmas.<br />
<br />
The songpack will feature "30 massive hits" (we're guessing <em>Meatloaf</em>) from the decade of Devo and decadence, although no specific songlist has been released as of yet. Even so, the news has us feeling all nostalgic for the smell of hairspray and Whitesnake's <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3DJhwAhrjY"><em>Still Of The Night</em></a>. If only our oversized glasses, tight jeans, and v-neck t-shirts would come back into fashion, we could... what's that? <em>No. You're kidding. </em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/08/singstar-goes-back-to-the-80s-would-do-anything-for-love-but/">SingStar goes 'Back To The 80s,' would do anything for love (but won't do that)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 08 Aug 2011 19:00:00 EST. Hey there, lonelyheart. Need some musical accompaniment for a Valentine's Day spent in romantic anguish? This week's <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/rock-band-3">Rock Band 3</a></em> update has your back -- not only is it eschewing the game's usual DLC schedule, dropping the tracks this Friday so that they'll be available on Valentine's Day, but each of the songs is an absolute <em>heartbreaker</em>. Though, ironically, most of them feature duets, which is kind of a slap in the face to lonely-folk like yourself. Check out the tracks from Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler, Stevie Nicks and more after the jump!<p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/09/rock-band-weekly-v-day-pack-featuring-meatloaf-stevie-nicks-m/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Rock Band Weekly: V-Day Pack featuring Meatloaf, Stevie Nicks, more</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/09/rock-band-weekly-v-day-pack-featuring-meatloaf-stevie-nicks-m/">Rock Band Weekly: V-Day Pack featuring Meatloaf, Stevie Nicks, more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 09 Feb 2011 13:00:00 EST.
