Obviously, it's a pretty hefty lineup, though some favorites are certainly missing, including <em>Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker</em>, <em>Valkyria Chronicles 2</em>, <em>Lumines</em> and others.<br /><br />That said, Sony promises more titles will be added in "the coming weeks." Head over to the US PlayStation Blog for the current list. And, before you ask, yes, <em>of course</em> <em>Dragon's Lair</em> is compatible.<br /><br /><strong>Update:</strong> A couple of industry tweets reveal that some games not mentioned on the official list are already compatible with the Vita, notably <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/uncyrus/status/167699282227511297"><em>Valkyria Chronicles 2</em></a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/dylancuthbert/status/147850180585193472/photo/1"><em>PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe</em></a>. It would appear that Sony's official list may not be entirely comprehensive. Then again, the public won't actually get its hands on the Vita for another week, so maybe there's still some tweaking going on.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/09/here-are-the-psp-games-that-will-work-on-vita-at-launch/">Here are the PSP games that will work on Vita at launch [update: more compatible games spotted]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 09 Feb 2012 15:30:00 EST. We've got a strong feeling that we've seen all of the games featured in the PlayStation Mini <em>Arcade Essentials</em> somewhere before ... But hey, that <em>Qix</em> knockoff looks fantastic! <em>Arcade Essentials</em> arrives on PSN today.<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/arcade-essentials-ps-mini/">Arcade Essentials (PS Mini)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/arcade-essentials-ps-mini/#3645595"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/a1cf3224ca89-38_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/arcade-essentials-ps-mini/#3645596"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/b64f4321032c-38_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/arcade-essentials-ps-mini/#3645597"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/ca6c4a327886-38_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/arcade-essentials-ps-mini/#3645598"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/f362c9d1c0c1-38_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/arcade-essentials-ps-mini/#3645599"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2010/12/fde705034107-38_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/07/playstation-mini-arcade-essentials-gives-us-wicked-deja-vu/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>PlayStation Mini Arcade Essentials gives us wicked deja vu</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/12/07/playstation-mini-arcade-essentials-gives-us-wicked-deja-vu/">PlayStation Mini Arcade Essentials gives us wicked deja vu</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Tue, 07 Dec 2010 16:20:00 EST. The hypnotic charms of <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/pac-man-championship-edition">Pac-Man: Championship Edition</a></em> are being packed into a downloadable Mini for PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3. According to a Namco representative, the Mini should become available sometime this fall. Barring a delay, it would arrive alongside the new game in the series,<em> <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/15/pac-man-championship-edition-dx-coming-to-xbla-psn-this-fall/">Pac-Man: Championship Edition DX</a>, </em>which is slated for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.<br />
<br />
We got a chance to play the PSP game at a Pac-Man 30th Anniversary event in Los Angeles and found it to be identical to the XBLA version, right down to the in-game trophies. The d-pad certainly gives this handheld version the edge, and the colorful visuals look great on the PSP's screen. It should be a perfect distraction during your dull train commute, provided you don't mind missing your stop. And the next one. And the next one. And just <em>one more</em>.<br />

I'm always asking myself, "Justin, full-motion videos are so great, why aren't they used in every game?" It's a fine question. There's huge, pent-up demand for games that use video of actual actors throughout my office, and it seems that someone's finally catering to it. It's just been announced that iPhone FMV horror adventure <em>Hysteria Project</em> is <a href="http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/04/15/playstation-minis-game-hysteria-project-available-now-on-psp-and-ps3/">coming to PlayStation Minis</a> courtesy of Sanuk Games.<br />
<br />
The news comes from the Euro PlayStation blog, so the question, of course, is whether or not this super-cool, super-scary release will be part of the North American update when it's unveiled later today. Here's hoping the high concentration of FMV fans in and around my office chair finally have their voices heard. [<strong>Update: </strong>Just heard back from Sanuk, <em>Hysteria Project</em>'s coming to North America next week. The FMreVolution begins!]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2010/04/15/psp-mini-hysteria-project-is-an-fmv-adventure/">PlayStation Mini 'Hysteria Project' is an FMV adventure</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 15 Apr 2010 09:15:00 EST. <div align="left">The holidays are a time for cheer and gift-giving, but it isn't quite the holidays yet. Instead of subscribing to that whole positive spirit thing, we're going to continue venting our <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/13/its-a-mario-world-infuriating-items/">frustrations from last week</a>, only this time with an finger pointed at the tiny enemies that sneak under our skin. "But wait," you ask, "aren't you just channeling unrelated rage at the simple challenges of a video game?" Probably. But try saying that with a group of Micro-Goombas crawling all over you.<br /><br />Check out <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/its-a-mario-world-sweating-the-small-stuff/1234622/">this new gallery</a> spotlighting a few of Mario's smaller (but no less menacing) foes.<br />

Perhaps it's the little girl inside of me -- or maybe it's an issue of some deep-seated problems -- but whenever something exists in miniature form, this writer can't help but squeal.<br /><br />Those who agree that small things are cute might also love this penny-sized, clay NES. There's really no purpose to owning it except that it's <em>mini</em>, but that seems like reason enough for us. Finding more ways to impress us, Lauren of <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5497619">TheClayCollection</a> also made an Xbox 360 and an original Xbox. Whoever thought an Xbox of all things <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=10381609">could be so adorable</a>?<br /><br />Unfortunately, there's no mini Wii currently available, but Lauren takes requests if you'd like her to make you one. She also has nice little <a href="http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=10408753">NES controller</a> earrings at her Etsy store, among other things.<br /><br />So, are these ridiculously cute, or do we need psychological help? You decide.<br /><br />[Via <a href="http://technabob.com/blog/2008/03/20/classic-consoles-get-miniaturized/">Technabob</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/20/mini-nes-is-as-cute-as-a-button-same-size-too/">Mini NES is as cute as a button (same size, too)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 20 Mar 2008 22:30:00 EST.
