Rockstar North's stealth <em>slash</em> slaughter game, <em><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/manhunt">Manhunt</a>,</em> launches on PSN next week on May 14, available in the PS2 Classics section for $10. European PSN users will have to wait until Wednesday, when their store is updated.<br />
<br />
In the <a href="http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/49851/manhunt-coming-to-psn-next-week.html">announcement post</a>, Rockstar also says the next game up for re-release is <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/the-warriors"><em>The Warriors</em></a>. <em>Manhunt</em> joins <em>Bully</em>, <em>Midnight Club 3</em>, <em>Red Dead Revolver</em> and various <a href="http://joystiq.search.aol.com/search?q=grand+theft+auto&amp;invocationType=wl-joystiq"><em>Grand Theft Auto</em></a> games, all available on PSN now.<br />
<br />
The PS2 Classic generated much controversy when it launched in 2003 for its gruesome murder scenarios and animations - a few examples include suffocating enemies with plastic bags, strangling them with wire and eviscerating others with table saws. In 2007, Rockstar produced a sequel in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/manhunt-2"><em>Manhunt 2</em></a>, which was banned in the UK for almost six months before <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2008/03/14/manhunt-2-uk-ban-officially-lifted/">it was cleared for launch</a>.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/09/manhunt-goes-to-ps2-classics-on-may-14/">Manhunt goes to PS2 Classics on May 14</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Thu, 09 May 2013 18:00:00 EST. Her brother, who shares her powers, goes missing, and Miku tracks him to a derelict mansion. There, she picks up her mother's Camera Obscura, a device that captures souls on film, and must navigate out of the mansion while still searching for her brother.<br /><br />Be on the lookout for <em>Fatal Frame</em>'s official announcement in the PSN drop this week.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/04/07/fatal-frame-snaps-a-selfie-on-psn-this-week/">Fatal Frame snaps a selfie on PSN this week</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sun, 07 Apr 2013 16:30:00 EST. Capcom USA senior vice president Christian Svensson put the company's <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/21/capcom-fighting-jam-capcom-vs-snk-2-on-us-psn-eventually/">formerly tentative plan</a> into this timetable in a post on the <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/29817737/sven-cvs2-psn-update?post_num=4#529977831">Capcom-Unity forums</a>. "Mind you, if Sony chooses, that could move," Svensson warned, adding "it is later than I had originally anticipated already."<br /><br />The other fighting game due for PS2 Classics release, the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capcom_Fighting_All-Stars">troubled</a> <em><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capcom_Fighting_Evolution">Capcom Fighting Evolution</a></em>, is still without a release date. <p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/20/capcom-vs-snk-2-due-for-ps2-classics-release-in-late-april/">Capcom vs SNK 2 due for PS2 Classics release in late April</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Wed, 20 Mar 2013 15:00:00 EST. The game will be priced at $9.99.<br /><br />The 2006 SRPG game previously made an appearance on the PSP in 2009 as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/08/disgaea-2-dark-hero-days-coming-to-psp-this-year/"><em>Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days</em></a>. The PSP version included additional content such as levels, skills and characters. While NIS America's <a href="http://nisamerica.com/nart/pbombs/2013/292/Disgaea2PS2Classics_20130111.pdf">announcement</a> implies that the PSN version will be a direct port from the PS2 game, we reached out to see if any of the added content from the PSP version will be included in the PSN port, and will update as we learn more.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/12/disgaea-2-coming-to-ps2-classics-january-22/">Disgaea 2 coming to PS2 Classics January 22</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Sat, 12 Jan 2013 12:00:00 EST. Capcom senior VP Christian Svensson offers a crumb of hope in <a href="http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capcom/go/thread/view/7371/29593655/playstation-2-classic&amp;post_num=3#527343221">the Capcom forums</a>, saying both will be here "eventually."<br /><br />Svensson says we should hear more about both "next year," and that the "timing will be quite different though from Japan." We can't be sure what he means by the latter statement, but since both saw their reemergence as <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/ps2-classics">PS2 Classics</a> on Japan's PSN months apart, it's possible there won't be such a gap between releases when they finally arrive in these parts.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/12/21/capcom-fighting-jam-capcom-vs-snk-2-on-us-psn-eventually/">Capcom Fighting Jam, Capcom vs SNK 2 on US PSN 'eventually'</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Fri, 21 Dec 2012 03:30:00 EST. Indeed, <em>Grand Theft Auto 3</em> is joining the no-frills lineup next Tuesday for $10.<br /><br />The news was revealed on the <a href="http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/07/26/playstation-blogcast-035-the-unfinished-assassin/">latest PlayStation podcast</a> among other PSN releases for next week. Like all PS2 classics, <em>GTA3</em> isn't getting an HD update or Trophy support. That's just one letter off! Well, one letter, the words "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona" and the number 3. Other than that, totally the same deal.<br /><br /><em>Persona 3: FES</em>, the updated 2008 edition of the demons-in-modern-Japan RPG, comes to the PlayStation 3 this week as part of the underused PS2 Classics service. It'll be a good opportunity to get familiar with the cast of characters before beating the hell out of them in <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/game/persona-4-arena"><em>Persona 4 Arena </em></a>(which features some of the P3 cast). Or, if you prefer to think about it this way, you'll get to play a fantastic RPG with a unique storyline and stuff.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ffffcc;border:1px solid #ffff99;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.joystiq.com"><img src="http://www.joystiq.com/media/feedlogo.gif" alt="Joystiq" style="float:left;padding:0 5px 5px 0;" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2012/04/09/persona-3-fes-socially-linked-with-psn-tomorrow/">Persona 3: FES socially linked with PSN tomorrow</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.joystiq.com">Joystiq</a> on Mon, 09 Apr 2012 20:00:00 EST. There's new stuff on PSN today, most prominently that freebie <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2011/10/04/psa-portal-2s-peer-review-dlc-now-available-full-game-for-h/"><em>Portal 2</em> DLC</a>. But there's also an absurd wealth of <em>old</em> stuff! There's a new version of <em>Crysis</em>, HD Dreamcast ports (<em>Sega Bass Fishing</em> and <em>Space Channel 5 Part 2</em>), the PSOne port of <em>Chrono Trigger</em>, and <em>five</em> PS2 games -- including Clover Studio's brutally difficult, equally strange cult hit <em>God Hand</em>.<br />
