i think it should be an awesome game, but i wish they would bring it out on PC because i'm a student and as such i'm too stingy to part with my own cash for an xbox 360.

As for all of those people comparing this to starcraft and saying it's gonna be starcraft 2: it's not, it's going to be Halo Wars.

alright:
#1 does anyone here realy care if this is starcraft 2 i mean starcraft wasn't even that great graphically and that seems to be one of the big issues in this particular board
#2 halo actually has some interesting characters unlike starcraft where there isn't much backstory to anything
#3 in regard to mister melloncolie on 48 not all elites are skinny little kung-fu experts some of them have muscle and are more brute-esque
#4 if anyone here seriously has issues with the control scheme then they are morons granted most rts's on the consoles don't have the control thing down when has bungie ever allowed a screw up on a control setup?...anyone? that's right never because they know what the fuck they're doing
#5 im entirely disappointed that no one mentioned anything about cortana being a special unit that can hack covenant transmissions to give you a little edge on the opposition
#6 i assure you that halo wars will be 10x better than any halogen could ever be because they can do anything and everything they want now that bungie has given them the reigns to the title

and on a personal note i really couldn't care less if the game is an rts or a turn-based strategy (well ok maybe not that far) but still its halo and when has halo disappointed before?

I do understand you all wanting this to be released on PC, but being that bungie doesn't make crap and like to keep their games very detailed, you might wanna go ahead and get an AMD Dual Core about 2 more gigs of Ram go find the most unGodly video card available and shell out the $100,000,000 that MS will charge for Vista, otherwise....you'd hate it on PC.

have any of u played ground control 2? its a good game with alot of action and no building. u call down units in a dropship and there's only one resource: aquisition points, which u get from capturing victory locations and landing zones, aswell as killing your enemy's units. i hope Halo Wars turns put somewhat like ground contol 2.

IMPORTANT: regarding the halo committee as for a real time strategy game regarding the halo universe a game you might be willing to check out just to get an idea for controlling the game is Star Craft for the N64 it is a copy of the pc version and they use the controller very nicely if you could find same way to change those type of controls over to the xbox it might be worth investigating and it could give you a jump-start for any ideas you may have for Halo Wars
