Rock Band Weekly: All-American Rejects, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Sounds; PS3 delayed a week

Hoofa. No wonder they didn't publicize these songs in advance. Last week we got Radiohead, Weezer and The Pretenders. Now we get this? Maddone a mi.

i may be asking for too much seeing as i got the game yesterday and just got the metallica pack today, but i could sure use another one of that quality. Or just about any 80s-early 90s metal would be good too. Too much terrible modern rock in the game

I didnt like AAR before, but now i have reason to not like them. my christmas is going to suck hard. i get rock band, yet no box cause of circuit city's funking warrenty bull crap where you have to send it in along with your HD so you lose all game saves and the send you a gift card where as they could refund it all to your credit card or give you a online gift card. word to the wise, dont get a warrenty at circuit city on a system. get one at best buy. i hate this

I'll get all these songs and I like the bands (except AAR) but color me disappointed. I was hoping for some Christmassy goodness. Where's the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Manheim Steamroller, and Burl Ives? When will their day come?

Awesome. Best releases thus far by a LONG shot since street date. I will be buying all 5 as soon as they're up. About time some real music is available. They did have Weezer last week, but it was one of their worst songs. The Clash and the Ramones are very good, but those were not good song choices. The $1 price point is super cake, what it should be, and I REALLY hope it stays.

Yep, gonna have to get the 30 seconds to mars. The family doesn't know that Rock Band is sitting under the tree. Hard to keep it in especially since the son has been spending all day trying to beat my score on GH2...

You know, it's funny how people hate on "mainstream" bands. They're mainstream for a reason.

It's so obnoxious when pompous jackass hate on music and then flaunt the music they like. To be honest, I think Nirvana sucks. Metallica sucks. I'd rather listen to AAR on endless repeat than have to listen to "One" by Metallica.

Is AAR the best band ever? Of course not. But they are popular and they are mainstream. Why dip into the room of forgotten has beens or never will bes before getting songs that are popular?

I don't like any of these songs. I don't like any of these bands. I'm much more of a classic rock person. But hating on a band because they're "mainstream," and "popular," but "suck" is ridiculous. Your opinion isn't the end-all-be-all of what truly sucks when it comes to picking what songs to put in the game. The opinion of society at large counts, and guess what? You can't get mainstream and popular without the approval and acceptance of society.

finally, some bands i actually listen to more than once a year and some songs i suggested. i'll be picking them up....next week.

At a dollar a piece I may just buy them all to show my appritiation and hope it sends a sign if enough people buy and they see there is more money in being reasonable.

Thee aren't bands I normally listen to either, but for $1 it's hard to pass up that kind of new content. There's a ton of bands in GH2, 3 and RB I never listened to and ended up liking the songs. I'll at least pick up AAR and maybe both 30STM songs.

I don't see how even if you're a snob you could pass up a new song or two for a couple of bucks.

Whether I like these or not (haven't listened yet) I'm buying them on principle just to support this awesome pricing! Thanks EA!

That Dirty Little Secret song is decent, and I kinda like the one by The Sounds. The BEST part is that these are only $1, which makes me a lot more likely to buy them even if I think they're only okay.

It's impossible because LZ is really picky to whom they allow to use their music.

Remember that movie school of rock? Well, Jack had to make a video with like 10000 people in it, begging them to allow them to use the immigrant song.
