Rumorang: MGS4 'exclusive' to PS3, 'no plans' for Xbox version, Konami declares

When you get a Japanese game on the Xbox 360 it feels like you're getting table scraps. They aren't a sure thing. While on the PS3 you never have to wonder if Japanese games will be released on it. Xbox 360 owners making a big deal out of this proves that they know their library has a major weakness.

Anyway, i'm not bashing the PS3, I just want them to give me a reason to buy one. When 360 was released I purchased 5 games, and for launch games, they were really, really good.

As far as your juvenile argument about the 360 being out longer, how much longer are you going to use that argument? You mean to tell me that after all this time the reason the PS3 isn't doing as well as all the shit Sony talked is because the 360 has been out longer? Now, if your referring to developers getting used to the hardware, then you have some what of an argument, to which I would reply tell Sony to stop making there hardware so damn hard to program for.

As a matter of fact, can someone post a link to all the dumb ass commnents and promises made by Sony about the PS3 and then you tell me if the shit talkin meets the hype about their games and sytems. I'm a gamer as much or more than most but I don't like being insulted, especailly when even a year+ out and someone like me not only has no reason to buy a PS3 at this point, but on top of that you get insulted by there arrogance and they expect someone to go buy there machine?

That's why I love the big N. Quality and innovation in a way that keeps the Japanese tradition of gaming alive. I just can't wait until I can find a Wii then i'll have what I need this gen. It's not basing the PS3, it is what it is.

When sales are terrible they will port it to the 360 as MGS4: Substance with some extra crap that wasn't in the PS3 version.

Just your typical PR behaviour(s) being exercised here. In reality, if the news became official that MGS4 is coming to 360, then many a gamer may see the reason(s) to pick up a PS3 less than justified. Sony has a lot of money/time invested in Konami's project, and a lot at stake. I see this as an attempt to persuade public opinion in the short term. If PS3 attachment rate sales do not pick up, then sound business sense suggests that MGS4 will one day shine on 360 (especially when the MGS series sales have been RELATIVELY underwhelming when you consider the 100+ million install base). The question is, however, do 360 gamers care for Solid Snake?

And in the meantime Konami execs and shareholders alike longingly glance at those 360 software numbers wondering if they'll even break even on the ps3. Halo 3 = 8.1 million and counting $$$$$

Who cares anymore? At this point just wait and see what will happen.

We all know how it will go down regardless. If it stays exclusive PS3 fanboys will be like "see told you it would stay exclusive", while 360 fanboys will claim that they never wanted the "crappy" game on their system in the first place. If it goes multi-platform 360 fanboys will laugh at PS3 fanboys, and PS3 fanboys will say that it doesn't matter because their system had it first. All along Nintendo fanboys will still be entering in friends codes for SSBB.

I am still thinking WHY would they ever port this to 360? Metal Gear does not sound like the type of game that the Microsoft audience would eat up. Be right next to Viva Pinata IMO.

The day that this game goes to 360 is the day that Gears of War 2 goes to PS3.

Gotta let PS3 owners keep something. If MGS 4 and/or FFXIII were announced for 360, there'd be blood in the streets, I tell ya!
