The long-standing "voice" of Bungie, Content Manager Frank O'Connor, is leaving the Halo studio in order to "work more closely with Microsoft on the Halo franchise." In his final Weekly Update, O'Connor sends a heartwarming thanks to the community for a number of things, among them for "not following through on the death threats" (his emphasis, not ours).
The most interesting part of his goodbye later is the tease on the "coming years." Said O'Connor, "I was busy working on a story for one of our next games, an experience that is destined to surprise, amaze and entertain like nothing we've ever made before. That game has an amazing team invested in it, and one that will be tasked with building the Next Big Thing. You should see what they've already achieved, you truly should." We'll be watching with eager eyes. Take care, Frank, you'll be missed.
(Oh, and be sure to check out all the fun Frank O'Connor Photoshops.)

It saddens me to see that pretty much anything related to Halo gets jumped on by PS3 owners as being a shit game blah blah blah its only one of the best selling games blah blah blah killzone is better blah blah blah.
Fanboys are inbreeds of every console faction . . . its like Fanboys are from LOTR Orcs that are magically born from ashes, fire, and hate.

Having Frankie stay with the Halo franchise is a GOOD thing. Basically he has been one of the major writers and essentially, with Joseph Staten, created the story Bible that the entire IP has come from. Having him stay with and manage the IP will make sure the continuity will remain with all of the developers, giving fresh life to different parts of the Halo universe, but remaining consistant. This really needed to be done in order for the franchise to work well with MS after Bungie split. My dream job would actually be to do what Frankie is doing and manage the IP with him and MS. Fans of Halo (and yes, there are those out there who have read all the books and all material and know the potential this series really has) must be excited for this to happen. I know I am. I will still be a big Bungie fan, though, and he will be missed on the forums.

Frank O'Connor, or Frankie, was the content manager for Bungie. He was the primary writer of the Bungie Weekly Update through the production of Halo 2 an Halo 3
he had nothing to do with voicing master chief or writing the story... do your research for gods sake..
you say you have read all the books and all material relating to the Halo Franchise... I think not my friend
