Remember kids, always read the fine print: "Activision shall not be bound by the outcome of the community vote and Activision's decision(s) and selection(s) shall be final and binding." And here we thought our clicks still stood for something!
Cast your vote for Spider-Man box ... in the trash

It's Florida 2000 all over again: You show up to seizecontrol.com hoping to exercise your democratic right to vote for the lesser of two wacknesses and you exit having accomplished zilch. We're referring, of course, to Activision's new user-generated content marketing campaign for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, which is currently giving the community the power to choose the game's box art. (The correct answer is "shake-to-make-it-snow globe holding" Spider-Man over "dude, check my dual-action sleeve tats" Spider-Man, btw.)

Ha ha, good one Sinai.
The vote here is between Spiderman holding the fugliest snow globe I've ever seen or Spiderman showing off some crappy tattoos he got while he was drunk last night.
Interesting decision,indeed.

Web of shadows.... yet the freaking bright white in the back alone kills the title..
Like you said, both covers just plain suck.

Man, our game is just another in a long line of shitty games about spider man. Do you think we can sucker people into buying another one? I mean, heck... We've already let them play as Venom once! How can we make people buy our game with the least amount of effort?
Put Wolverine in it.
Brilliant! *counts money*

While they both smell quite awful, I'd have to go with dogshit, since it's much easier to handle.

Why not just go with the (much better) art for the PC version?

Awesome. It'd be like "Steal This Movie," except this would be Activision's version of saying we employ 12-year-olds in our design department.

Both of those look like ass.
Why don't they just have their artists use the shot from Spider-man 3 with red suit Spidey looking at his black suit reflection in a high rise window? It gets the point across and it looks good.

So in hand of Spiderman on the left is a handful of "soft serve" with a picture over it? HAHA.
Marvel has made so much money between the games and movies and the games for the movies that they should just stop with those comic things save some trees and sell ideas directly to movie studios.
(btw Antman is getting a movie - antman!?)

That outstretched hand one is gross, far too much negative space on the left side, goddamn. It looks awkward and clunky. The second one is leagues better, even if the sleeve art isnt really as interesting to look at as a little city.
Splice the two together!

Seeing as Activision doesn't value the fan's opinion, I don't value their half assed covers with no background.
