Monthenor @ Jul 14th 2008 2:58PM
That may just be my favorite Bob Dylan song.
Jomolungma @ Jul 14th 2008 3:09PM
It's certainly in my top 3. Very interested in seeing the charts for it.
FSK405K @ Jul 14th 2008 3:03PM
Frickin playlist. Every other Guitar Hero and Rock Band had at least a few songs I was genuinely excited about. Looks like it's RB1 and DLC for me. Unless I see RB2 on clearance.
KEFIOX @ Jul 14th 2008 3:10PM
Where's Head Like a Hole? Other than that great setlist.
Banana Kid @ Jul 14th 2008 3:12PM
This is an alright list. Float On is great, Lump is great, Peace Sells is great. I am, however, heartbroken by the continued lack of classic Tenacious D. Would it kill them to get Tribute?
DarthDavid @ Jul 14th 2008 3:33PM
Singing Painkiller on expert.......impossible... but I don't sing, I play expert drums....can't wait!
RedPaladin @ Jul 14th 2008 6:53PM
The inclusion of Painkiller on RB2 pretty much made my year! Now let's see if they'll have The Sentinel up for DLC.
...these are the songs I wanted to sing ion the first Rock Band.
therpham @ Jul 14th 2008 4:08PM
Oh my God! is on the list! Awesome!
Fuck! is on the list! Shit!
What the hell? isn't on the list? Fuck you, Harmonix! You should have made Rock Band: Read Your Mind Edition that only includes the 80 songs I like best in the world!
Anyway, I'm pretty excited about this. I'll definitely get it.
mistian @ Jul 14th 2008 4:08PM
so glad dinosaur jr made it on
Youthinized @ Jul 14th 2008 4:20PM
The Trees is probably one of the best Rush songs around.
More Rush Masters!!!!
Sveppi @ Jul 14th 2008 4:27PM
I love this setlist, loads of songs that I've wanted in Rock Band. Pretty surprised so see the lack of NIN, Police and Clash.
Gwas @ Jul 14th 2008 4:32PM
Where's my Dillinger Escape Plan? Other than that, great song list. Fantastic pick for AC/DC, it's all about Bon Scott. Can't wait to sing some White Wedding too.
Cesaria (cesariatic.wordpress.com) @ Jul 14th 2008 4:53PM
Holy fuck, Modest Mouse, Sonic Youth, and Talking Heads. Rock Band 2=must buy. Shit, and I was gonna get GHIV. Shit...
Vii @ Jul 14th 2008 4:56PM
I have a theory about the lack of an AC/DC track that is more well known in this set list. Yes it does make good business sense to have songs like "Back in Black" or "Highway to Hell" be DLC. Those songs will make a killing in profits. However, it is entirely possible that Harmonix will release the entire Back in Black LP as DLC. And honestly, who doesn't want to spend $15 bucks to get a bunch of AC/DC music from what is arguably their best album ever.
RavenPaul @ Jul 14th 2008 5:05PM
I don't want to.
Chrysee @ Jul 14th 2008 6:17PM
I want some Meatloaf :(
RedPaladin @ Jul 14th 2008 6:47PM

24. Guns N' Roses "Shackler's Revenge" (NEW GNR TUNE)
26. Jane's Addiction "Mountain Song"
27. Jethro Tull "Aqualung" (sweet! Cross-eyed Mary woulda been a good one too)
29. Joan Jett "Bad Reputation"
30. Journey "Anyway You Want It"
31. Judas Priest "Painkiller" (OMG!!!!!!!! There's no way you can emulate Scott Travis' drumming in this song, unless RB2 come with 2 bass drum pedals)
32. Kansas "Carry On Wayward Son"
39. Megadeth "Peace Sells" (Hell Yeah - one of Metal's greatest anthems)
40. Metallica " Battery" (refer to 39)
43. Motorhead "Ace of Spades"
45. Norman Greenbaum "Spirit in the Sky"
48. Pearl Jam "Alive"
49. Presidents of the USA "Lump" (Gotta love this band)

Talking Heads FTW!
Youthinized @ Jul 14th 2008 8:17PM
WHAT?
we get Duran Duran and no Hall & Oates? XP
Jk, this setlist kicks ass.
Desert Eagle @ Jul 14th 2008 10:04PM
OH MY DEAR LORD ALL SONGS INCLUDING RUSH ARE MASTER TRACKS!?
*Head explodes*
Robert Maynard @ Jul 15th 2008 2:17AM
Am I the only one super happy about Steely Dan being on there? :P
Great, great list. Add in backwards compatibility to RB1, plus all the Rock Band DLC already released being available at launch - Guitar Hero World Tour could not be deader to me.
Tal Ater @ Jul 15th 2008 3:37AM
You can see and hear the music videos of every one of the songs on http://www.rockband2tracklist.com/
Sam @ Jul 15th 2008 4:03AM
I'm going up to the spirit in the sky. It's where I'm gonna go, when I die. When I die and they lay me to rest, I'm going to the place thats the best.
Morley @ Jul 15th 2008 2:51PM
It's a good list, but WHERE'S TOOL?
Truman @ Jul 16th 2008 11:42PM
Silversun pickups and RATM's best song imo. Now all i need is rockband to be released in Australia... That being said At the drive in is on GHIV which is almost unbeatable, Plus g hero is actually sold here, unlike rockband :(
JohnHeist @ Jul 16th 2008 3:09PM
WHOA!
TREES!!!
Saminal @ Jul 24th 2008 7:15PM
Yes, they could have chosen a more popular song such as Back in Black, but this actually isn't a very technically hard song. In fact, most of their songs are pretty repetitive from a guitar perspective. If something like Thunderstruck doesn't kick your ass, then it will probably just bore you to death.
I think they made a good choice... awesome lead guitar, good rythm guitar, sweet drums... good luck sounding like Bon Scott, though ;-)
LET THERE BE ROCK, baby!
Gabe @ Jul 25th 2008 10:11PM
What?! No [insert preferred band]?! This setlist sucks!
Karen @ Jul 31st 2008 9:31PM
I love all of the songs except the AC/DC song. maybe it's because i don't know it. but after all most of all the songs ive listened to is awesome.
jakenjackjeckyl @ Aug 12th 2008 9:38PM
So r we able 2 use the downloaded songs we already have from RB1 on RB2?
chirs @ Aug 31st 2008 2:17AM
Isn't it "Girls NOT Grey"....did you guys have "Girls gone wild" on the brain?? come on!
