Well, we reckon it's almost official now. According to Country Music Television's (CMT) blog, the previously mentioned Rock Back country music pack is coming on December 16th to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The report claims five songs will be part of the pack, and names Bentley, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert and the Dixie Chicks as the artists. If Rock Band sticks to tradition, we'll get an official press release Dec. 11th or 12th.
We're going to take the moment to re-demand "Jolene" (let's compromise and ask for the White Stripes version), "Who's Gonna Mow Your Grass" and "The Gambler" for some point in the future.

First of all, it's hypocracy to put country music in ROCKband. Country music is not rock. it's not even music. No one cares if you shot your dog and your wife married your cousin. We let emo rock in. We let disco in. Is nothing sacred? Have you no soul?

Not a country fan so I'll pass.
But for everyone pointing out "Rock" Band. Seriously, it's rock every week. Deal with one week you don't like and move on.
And despite me not being a country fan, Jolene is pure epic. Both original and White Stripes cover.

They'll definitely satisfy the cross-over fans, but I have to wonder if a "Country Band" version of the game wouldn't be a better idea. I doubt a real country fan would want to pay the $180 for the game + $10 in DLC and have 80 rock songs and only 5 country songs.

NO HARMONIX THAT'S A BAD HARMONIX! Unless you want to throw some Cash in there, you can just chew on a bullet when it comes to country music.

Hi Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that you had to download the songs if you wanted certain ones that come out. If you don't like country don't download it. All this complaining about why County shouldn't be added isn't really necessary. Everyone has their own taste of music. I personally like Country. In Fact, I like all kinds of music. My son brings his Rock Band over on every holiday and we have a blast. Some of the songs we play, I have never even heard of but we still have so much fun with it. Its a fun time for the whole family. I think Country would add more fun for me...lol
