2nd Fallout 3 DLC pack at retail Aug. 25; GOTY edition listed for Oct. 13

Following May's Anchorage and The Pitt combo-pack, Bethesda has confirmed with Joystiq that the second Fallout 3 DLC retail pack featuring Broken Steel and Point Lookout will hit store shelves on August 25 for $20 on both Xbox 360 and PC. You'll need Mothership Zeta – the fifth and "final" piece of Fallout 3 DLC – to round out your DLC collection. It's currently available for $10.

If you're late to the Fallout 3 bus, you may want to consider holding off until October when you can pick up the previously announced Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition which bundles the game with all five DLC packs. It's currently listed for $59.99 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 releases, and $49.99 for PC with an October 13th release date on both Amazon and GameStop. Unfortunately, Bethesda's not ready to talk about it until that last DLC pack is out the door so consider those prices and that date boring 'ol retailer placeholders.

Bethesda must be out of there minds thinking they will sell the episodes separate over PSN, only a few short months before the GOTY edition drops.

If you mean on PS3, it hasn't. I was confused myself, since this post has almost nothing to do with the PS3 version (i don't know why it was tagged as PS3 than for the reason, "Fallout am onz ps3's")

So, uhh.. There is no DLC pack on the 25th for the PS3? Haha, this is far too confuing for early morning.

I did this with Oblivion. I had the regular edition until they released all the DLCs on disc, traded the original in and bought the GOTY edition.

I just got it on PS3 off Ebay for £13, utter bargain, the game is huge and brilliant but... anyone else think the level cap of 20 is stupidly low? I'm 14 already and and have only just found dad... plus the DLC is taking AGES to come out on PS3, but at least we'll get Broken Steel first with the new level cap... still only 30 though :S Oblivion was in the hundreds wasn't it?

Oblivion went to 50, but it took much longer to get there.

this story is such a tease! the PS3 GOTY edition won't be out mid-Oct. coz PS3 owners are still waiting for any of the dlc to be released!! and to have all 5 episdoes drop on PSN before then? no way. i've already finished the game and i'm holding off on a second playthrough until some of the dlc comes.

bethesda, work faster!!
