PSN Friday: Better late than never

SimCity 2000 is better on Mac and PC. The only reason to get it as a PSone Classic is if you want to play it on the go on your PSP, because it's better than any other portable version.

meh to the Demos as I got both Dirt2 and WET from UK PStore last week, and both NHL10 and F.E.A.R 2 Reborn yesturday , the rest is filler crap. Hopefully next weeks update will be better and on time

Ahh, the Wet demo - Not really feeling that one. D-loaded it last week from the EU store. I loved the Max Payne series and Stranglehold, as well, but Wet leaves a lot to be desired for me. Doesn't look or feel right...

DIRT 2 I grabbed last week from the EU store - It has some pretty good graphics and the feel of the game is pretty good, too, but it's just another racing game to me. Not bad.

NHL10 demo I got yesterday off the EU store and after getting over the EA Sports sports game engine deal (pretty much all their sports game have the same feel, year after year but I still rock with them...yet it's time for a change), I like the demo. Gunna grab this game when it comes out. Haven't bought a NHL game in a very long time.

FEAR 2 demo I grabbed yesterday, as well, from EU - Umm, just starting to play it now. Lol.

Moral of the story - It actually sometimes pays to have a EU account on the side of my usual US account. Ha. This was a good US update. I'm just glad I finally got to grab the new boxers for FN4, today. FN4 is a great game, imo. Peaz...

Han Tao was that bad the gameplay is very outdated and the grindhouse style just seems over done. Why are there so many games using it now? Didn't much enjoy Wet either, it was OK but again the gameplay just feels totally redundant.

I did like Dirt a lot though, I haven't played the first one but I was expecting more of a rally style to that.. is the whole game Baja themed?

Not so interested in the PSOne classics this week either, I own Sim City 3000 on the PC and still have copies of all the old TR games. (And despite what anyone says, the second is not the best!)

Will Dissidia be coming out on the PS Store in the near future? I remember at e3 they were talking about how eventually all PSP format software will be on the PS Store.

Good Update. Anybody buy the Crash Commando DLC cause the gangster rapper is 50 cent, and I tried he can't take 9 bullets, LOL.

Damn, why haven't I bought a bigger PS3 hard drive yet? I guess I'll have to delete my Top Spin 3 install so I can get the DiRT 2, Wet, and Fear Demos. Looks like I'll be looking around for a hard drive today and hopefully installing it later next week. I need more room!

WET demo was fun but could've been so much better if the swordplay didn't feel so rigid...it's almost like it was put in as an afterthought

The Wet demo was pretty bad. It's just a Stranglehold clone with shoddy controls.

Heh, looks like someone thought the Tomb Raider name is up there with MGS/FF/RE/Castlevania category. I was surprised that they released the first one for 10 dollars. I still think 10 for RE is outrageous, since RE2 & RE3 is doubled in quality in nearly every aspect. Should've been 6 or 8, imo. Still, I'm waiting for Dino Crisis to hit. That's one game i regret never getting back in the day, so i figure I'd wait until it's available.

I don't understand why Tomb Raider II is $5.99 and the first one is $9.99. Regardless of price, I'd still buy the 2nd one over the first. One of my favorites when I was younger.

i really love the fact that I can play a ps1 game download on my ps3 and psp and even put it on my girlfirends psp too.
it really stretches that $ 5 - $ 10 charge for a ps1 game download.

good work sony. i wouldnt mind ps1 game updates every week. bring most of the library to the PSN. probably wont pick up these 2, but im sure some people wouldnt mind.
