This lawsuit is nearly two years old. Must be a slow news day.

Hey, it's hard enough for Joystiq to copy news from one other web site, don't expect them to start going to two different ones!

Mr. Hinkle wrote this back in 2007, and used a time machine to publish it today. THAT's the real news story.

I am going to sue Microsoft because their own game messed up their own console and they won't fix it.... considering they own both of those it seems like that is a choice of the company. You can file a lawsuit over it...

I guess someone better sue Reality Pump and Southpeak for making Two Worlds. It caused many 'severe emotional distress.' and chronic, explosive diarrhea.

What's the statute of limitations on something like this? I think I'll file a lawsuit against Nintendo for every NES cartridge I owned in my youth. All those times I had to rapidly turn on and off the system and blow out cartridges, it probably explains why I've had so many problems in my life. All of those times I almost hyperventilated have turned me off breathing for good. Might even get Konami in on this, TMNT Manhattan Project was the worst offender for garbled screen syndrome.

Oh, they are going to pay!

The only "bugs" I can see in Halo 3 are... A) quitters B) Team Killing

Bungie could easily fix the matchmaking by turning OFF team killing. It serves absolutely NO purpose and just frustrates me enough to switch over to COD. Everyone has to run for weapons.. which is fine.. but do we really need to deal with people on OUR OWN TEAM that are gonna kill you for weapons? I also like how the COD franchise fills in a player if another one quits. Why hasn't bungie design Halo to operate this way? Those to things would make Halo much more enjoyable. Hope they address these issues when Halo Reach is released.

What does the Legal Copy in the game manual say? I'm sure there is some sort of provision that states 'if the game doesn't work, return it. it's not our problem'. I don't own the game or I'd check myself.

old news, hope for his sake he's with one of them no win no fee places but doubt he is cause they wouldn't take it. if in a 10000000000-1 chance he acually wins then it would kill gaming cause no1 would release anything for fear or being sued

I have to say that while I think a lawsuit is a little on the extreme side I have had issues with Halo game discs..... I take very good care of my games, never had one unplayable until Halo 3....bought the game, played it for a couple weeks, then there's like a spider crack in the centre. Whatever, bought another one, same thing within about 3 weeks. The game would either work for half the maps and then boot me for the others, or upon putting it in my xbox it would say "to play this game, please insert into an xbox 360 console" Also happened to my brother's copy. Might have just been a bad batch, but we ended up buying the game 3 times....Kinda not cool.

if anything a lawsuit should be filed regarding the fact that they sold the game with certain gametypes and then lock you out of those gametypes if you dont buy their three new maps for 20 bucks. That the most "eff over your loyal costumers" move MS pulls.

Only time I've ever had a console freeze or lock up is when I've been playing for way too long and it gets warm. It's really just the console's way of saying "Go outside for a minute, have a smoke break, cus you're gonna need eye surgery soon if you don't".

Whatever, they have my support. Halo hasn't evolved it's gameplay at all in three games. ODST is going to be priced too high at $60 when it should only be a $30 expansion as the game is only gonna be 10 hours long or less. They charged out the ass for halo 3 legendary edition which wasn't worth a dime. I hope they win and cost the company milliions =)
