Why would anyone trade in Modern Warfare 2 in one month when the DLC is coming next year? $40 seems like a rip-off as I bet alot of people will likely do this and flood Gamestop with used copies thus lowering the price down to $30 without the coupon maybe lower.

Nobody forces anybody to shop at GameStop. Nobody forces anybody to trade games in.

Anyone wonder why publishers still support this bs? They give Gamestop pre-order bonuses, and extra publicity (contests) and they turn around and do this crap. I understand that joe shmoe doesn't think any other stores carry video games, but with some effort, the publishers could force people into other retail stores.

Its fine, plenty of people who are smart go to gamestop. and all you other idiots.. hey, gamestop doesn't need your business. they outsold walmart last year. that says something in my opinion. as for used games being like.. 2, 3 bucks less sometimes? add the edge card and turns into 5, 6 bucks, and you dont like it? beat it? return it in a week. thats the benefit of used. if you dont like it or beat it quick you can bring it right back and get something else. why does no one bash walmart? i feel thats the worst corporation in the world and they sell video games. they sell crushed, games that people have opened, played, shrink wrapped, and returned because the people there are too stupid to realize its been opened. same with dvds, ive had it happen to me a few times. sure there are some jerk, stupid employees at gamestop. but ive met some real nice people at gamestop that have saved me from buying terrible games and saved me money multiple times because most of them care about that. those games you get for christmas despite the face youre all still living off your parents and living in their basement? probably would have been the wrong game entirely if it werent for the people at gamestop helping your mom out.

Honest question... How DOESN'T this count as anti-competitive? GameStop doesn't pay publishers or devs for used copy sales, but sells such new games at near full price. they are almost guaranteed to make a better profit on these whilst screwing over Activision and Infinity Ward (I can't believe I just defended Activision... I feel so dirty...)

Or just really rent the game at any game rental company, like Gamefly, for 1/4 the retail price. Stop giving Gamestop money for purchasing games at full price and then getting ripped off by returning it back to them!

So I'm out $20 + tax, or I can rent it from Gamefly for the same time period and pay $9, or even get it free with a trial.

This makes 0 sense. F*** you Gamestop.
