Well, it IS at the bottom... also, don't they take into account anything still being manufactured regardless of age or sales?

Yeah. There's a lot of things Sony can do to impress you.

But can it play/upscale PS2 games? I'll be sticking to my awesome 60GB launch model, thanks.

I wish I could say the same Durden. If god of war 3 and heavy rain don't blow me away, ps3 could be the first system I ever sell before the end of a generation :\

I hate to hear that Tmac. In all fairness, I think PS3 and 360 typically cater to 2 different gaming audiences but at this moment I think PS3 comes with more value and that means more than anything to an average gamer in todays economy. You're more of a 360 man (soon to be Wii too), nothing wrong with that. It's still a great Bluray player.

The PS3 slim is smaller than the Xbox 360 and has the power supply and hard drive flush in the chassis, absolutely fucking amazing! Sony, kudos!

Truthfully, I wish I had an extra 300 for a PS3. Still, I find it a lot easier to game on my new lappy though. My ASUS N81-VP, which is no beast, still holds its own in terms of games. I don't know why but I've moved away from console gaming for a while, and am playing more TF2 than ever.

Is it sad that my need for a new mouse and keyboards comes to mind more often than my need for clothes? Or textbooks?

I'm going to guess that's a mistake?

Still, the fact that they're neck and neck shows Sony's turn around in Japan, at least.

Any one have a prediction for how many units they'll sell the week FFXIII comes out? I'm thinking 100k plus, easy.

They sold what, 150k the first week the Slim was out?

You don't think the Slim + the biggest RPG this generation is going to do better than that?

I say, it'll probably move at least 100k + whatever sales they had the previous week. So probably around 140k-150k total for the week. Then around 90k-110k the week after. Then say around 60-70k after that.

Oh, I was being very conservative with that number. I personally think they could top 200 thousand, but my official prediction is 100k to be on the safe side.

Looking at his profile, it looks like the only day he didn't post as much was yesterday, the 5th.

So, are you really that worried or curious what he did in one day? The man probably had family visit, or spent the day whacking it to the finer things in life... like that $20 Taiwanese hooker who just couldn't keep her mouth shut when the cops came by that one night... uh, wait, what am I talking about again?

Actually, Nintendo has revised their consoles before. Twice, once with the top-loading NES

http://atariace.com/images/atariace.com/nintendo/systems/images/nes-top-loader-in-box-011707.jpg

and the second-version of the SNES

But Chuck is probably right, I don't see Ninty doing this for the Wii anytime soon.

There is very little they could do to make Wii Lite, i've heard that they could conceivably cut the system fan, and also GameCube functionality, but that would be quite crippling
