In my opinion BF2 is still the game to beat. Why? Team-wide chat, that's why. I realize that squads are the thing in the BadCo series, but there's something about communicating with the whole team when there's a C-4 laden "fast mover" heading towards a flag, that pulled people together, made it so much fun..

Still, wah wah. BadCo beta rocks the house. All over it day 1.

This game is looking really good. I just hope Dice and EA have worked out the online kinks BEFORE the game launches.

It was so frustrating for about the first 3 weeks on the last one when you would go online and it would say 'Cannot connect to EA Online' - oh man that made me crazy!!!

And then when they ironed all that out, it was still laggy as all get out. I tried playing it again a few months ago after hearing they patched the unlockable patches and it was STILL laggy!

The single player was awesome though, and the multiplayer when not laggy was very very cool.

If this beta does continue until the end of February, I'll have no reason to think about getting MW2 because this beta's way too much fun.

I agree. This looks very fun! I love the variety of vehicles, and the tanks certainly look badass.

I'm loving the Panama Canal video.

It sounds fun, but it also makes me wonder how confusing it might become trying to discern is somebody near you is a friend or foe during the confusion of battle (esp. if all the uniforms end up looking too similar).

If you and your teammates are good players, your enemies will have red triangles over their head after being spotted.

What fun are people missing out on? I've had the beta since day one and this game is compete garbage. There is nothing improved over the last game, and the controllers are either sluggish or all over the place depending on lag. Oh and there is lag don't let these people fool you all that because they have dedicated servers that there are is no lag.

If there was one game to miss in 2010 Battlefield Bad Company 2 is that game.

As already said the Beta is amazing and its just one map!!! MW2 im almost bored with already ... the maps are too small and well its too easy to be good at(lots of dumb luck) I played BC1 and I agree the controls were a bit wierd. Thankfully they did a lot of work on this for BC2. Aiming feels much smoother, shooting has a nice recoil feel which takes some skill to master but its still fun, sniping is somewhat realistic in that you have to take into consideration the distance to the shot and the drop of the bullet over the distance. Overall a much more strategically intense game that relys a lot on squad based team play. In the month that Ive been playing the beta Ive made more friends playing this game than I have in any other PS3 game Ive owned. Very fun, not sure if the beta is closed yet but if you can go pre-order it at gamestop or wherever and get the beta for free. $5 dollars down for the game even if you never picked up the game the beta is well worth the 5 bucks.
