Why would they have to be M+? Wii Sports Resort isn't M+...

How many "mature" successes have there been on Wii? 2? 3? How many of those were launch games? 2? 3?

For a while there, it was as if Sega had made it their goal in life to prove that an "M" rated game could not sell on Wii.

When I said M+ I meant MotionPlus. I was referring to the add-on, not the ESRB rating.

They cram it down developers throats already by making a system that by defaut has a motion controller in the box.

Yet they can play it without the motion controls. AMAZING.
Stop saying they're cramming it or forcing it.
If the Wiimote had nothing but motion controls (no buttons), then yes, it'd be cramming it down their throats.
You CAN play with a Wiimote without the motion controls, you know that right?

Well, new Zelda requires it, so that alone justifies the purchase I guess.

If Motion+ hasn't been supported what makes anyone think the vitality sensor will be any different?

The same reason they think the Balance Board will be supported eventually.

... it'll get kiiiiiiiinda' supported. And apparently that's okay with Nintendo.

Motion+ has been out for almost a year, and not even a dozen games use it, which I find it a missed opportunity for most games, as well as sad. Hell, they package it with most controllers at retail now. I think motion+ needs to be a standard.

The problem is you got too many people complaining about how Nintendo's "forcing them" to purchase them...
...Wiimote + Motion+ = $60, about the price of a controller on other systems, not sure what's there to complain about.

It should be the standard, I'll agree with that.

What's unique with Nintendo is, we don't care about what third-party developers are doing on our system. At all.

*Shrug* I've got one. It sits in my entertainment center since it makes playing NSMB Wii uncomfortable. i know the games will come, hopefully sooner rather than later.

"...Yeah, we're talking about you, Wii Speak". I can't remember the last time I used Wii Speak. A few times on Animal Crossing but that was at least 6 months ago. Wish more games worked with it.

i doubt 50% of wii owners have motion plus or the classic controller.

left with a motion controller or the 2 button option on the wiimote, is there really an option other than motion control?

Nunchuk.

Sold separately, but so is the Motion+ and Classic Controller, which was your original argument of "doubt 50% of wii owners have motion plus or the classic controller".

You can be assured more than 70% (and that's me being pessimistic) of Wii owners have a Nunchuk... which plays beautifully... I actually prefer the controllers being separate rather than centered. I can get in rather convenient positions no matter what I'm doing.

Aren't there several WiiWare games that use MotionPlus as well as the sports games and upcoming titles? I agree there's, um, rather a lack of 'real' retail titles that use it though. I have two motionplus gizmos and only one game that uses them. :)

Why would they? They barely use it themselves, and their whole "innovation" of motion controls to Nintendo seems to have moved on with that gimmick.

Not that motion controls are bad, but people started to realize that even if you do something cool, most of the time you're just waggling and it gets tiring.
It'd be like making you watch Avatar but you have to stand up during the whole movie.
