I would pick A crack in time, simply because it was the most balanced game.

Tools of Destruction. Because the PS3 was my first Sony console, and that was my first Ratchet and Clank game.

Since it's the only one I've ever played more than an hour of, Size Matters. Also happens to be one of the first PSP games I ever finished.

The first game will always have a place on my heart as well as my shelf. Without the first one you can't have the rest!

Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando... Could not have resisted that holographic cover, and the gameplay was very well created. A step up from the first one, I was very impressed with it.

Rachet and Clank: A Crack in Time, is so far my favorite (IF I HAVE TO CHOOSE). I like how it has taken the ship to an in game flying game. Without losing the original game,

I would have to say Ratchet: Deadlocked particularly because that was the game that officially got me addicted to online multiplayer. The game itself was a little bland with the environments and the gameshow setting, so I'm pretty sure I would have to go with Going Commando for the adventure side of it. I think Insomniac really branched out with Going Commando so you got to experience almost like a beta version of where they were taking the series. The Future series IS polished, but the game experience with those games was nothing compared to the PS2 iterations in my opinion. Everything is too easy and the characters seem pretty dumbed down compared to the first 4.

Going Commando:

I thought the first was really fun, but Going Commando just felt like a much larger and developed game. You could feel the love the developers had for the game while working on it. I had just finished school and hadn't found a job yet when I was playing it, so I would be up until 4:00 in the morning exploring and leveling up the weapons. It's one of the few games in the past decade I've finished with 100% completion. The other games were still really enjoyable, but none of them have fully recaptured that magic for me, even though Quest for Booty did make me feel like a kid again.

Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando, despite the fact we have seen many releases since it came out nothing to me beats the second game that brought so much more to the table in the Ratchet universe, the arena battles, space combat, spaceship customization and the weapons available, all while back on the PlayStation 2. While the PlayStation 3 games may be impressive graphically and almost just as good, the fact Insomniac offered so much in Going Commando and while only 3 years into the PlayStation 2 lifespan was simply brilliant.

Going commando. I loved the new weapon upgrade system and the new turret weapons made slaying hordes of enemies much easier.

The first Ratchet and Clank on PS2 was probably my favorite memory of playing this series. I was in constant awe and wonder trying to master the great variety of creative weaponry. But attempting to talk it up to a friend, I really emphasized the excellent musical set pieces for the different levels as well as the lush, colorful environments.
It turned out I didn't really have to sell him on it, as soon as I started playing he saw it too. A complete renaissance for the platformer genre.
I wish all games had the weapon wheel for selection...

My favorite would have to be Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. You can't appreciate the awesomeness of this series until you play the first game that really ramped up the action, introduced strafing, space combat and much, much more. Oh, and it had hoverbike races... what more do you need?

From Thugs4Less, to protopets and back to comical thief, GC was an amazing game, and remains my favorite of the series.

My favorite R&C game is Future: ToD, because it's the one I've played. It was awesome. I went back and bought the PS2 versions when I found them in the cutout bin at Best Buy, but they don't run well on my MGS4 edition PS3 so I never got anywhere.

R&C Up Your Aresonal

because of the multiplayer and the relations to the other games

a close second though was Quest for booty if it was just 10 -20 hours longer. i Like the flow of that game better no jump cuts to clanks and no vendors to get in your way. To bad nothing really happened story wise

My favourite, by far, was Ratchet and Clank: Future - Quest For Booty... It may have been short but the humour was off the charts! As soon as I finished it the first time I started a new game right away!

Am I too late?

I'm too late, right? that stinks... I would have loved to win some R&C swag.

I'll submit anyway...

I've been a big fan from the beginning but I have to say Crack in Time really hit all the right notes for me. I'm pleading with Insomniac to release Clank puzzles as DLC. Those were my absolute favorite part of the whole series and gave me a real sense of accomplishment when I completed each one. I would love to see more puzzles!!! Please Insomniac, PLEASE!!!

Deadlocked was the best for me, maybe because I get a sort of guilty pleasure out of gladiatorial action. For some reason, I just do really awesome in those sorts of games.

Ratchet Deadlocked, it was my first and I like that vehicles were present but optional in the game. Also it had mulitplayer, real splitscreen multiplayer not fake aka online multiplayer.
