According to Amazon France listings spotted by The Sixth Axis, both Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia franchises could be getting the Blu-ray treatment in the coming months. Unfortunately, other than a 39.95 Euro ($54) price tag and a November 2 release date, neither listing provides any real detail on what the trilogies might contain.
If Ubisoft is planning to re-release these games as compilations, it's possible that they might feature updated graphics, much like last year's God of War Collection. With a Sly Cooper collection on the way -- and rumors of a Team Ico Collection refusing to go away -- we'd hardly be surprised to see third-party publishers giving their own classics another spin.

@Faenix - Yep, and it all came from an Amazon France product page for "The Team Ico collection". That page no longer exists, so it may not be wise to get our hopes up for that collection, or the Splinter Cell/Prince of Persia collection being listed here.
We shall see.
We shall see.

An HD remastered version of 1-3 would be amazing.

God of War Collection
The Sly Collection
Sony is slowly releasing em. Sony is "looking into" a Team Ico collection. I guess if they can manage at a decent budget, they will come out with one.

@ChuckBartowski - And how exactly do we know they aren't doing anything then?
Maybe they don't want to do a rush job of a Team ICO collection. Perhaps they may even be doing full blown remakes. And consider that, whatever the case is with these games, and whether they will be receiving an official release for PS3 or not, that the most likely place for them to be announced is at the Tokyo Game Show, which is only a month away.

Sony is "looking into" a collection. They will probably come out with one, unless its not cost feasible for the $40 pricing.

@Faenix - I just meant that Amazon France may not be the best source of information. Sony has said that they're thinking about a Team Ico collection, but I think that is just lip service at this point. Fumito Ueda has said that he'd like to do one, and long enough ago that work may have begun on it, but honestly I'd rather they waited until after The Last Guardian was done (unless Team Ico isn't the team doing the port).

I would buy the Splinter Cell Collection. Hopefully they would be releasing that to hype up the release of Conviction for PS3.

@FaerieTael I'm in for Splinter Cell.. although the control switch between #1 & PT meant you could be sneaking, go to hug a wall & whistle..
#1 needs a trophy for beating the game with only one bullet, apparently this was possible..
PT could have a trophy for starting WW3.. as you could kill someone too early.. I thought I was just getting the job done..
Kind of hoping they leave any MP trophies beyond 'joining in' ones.. although, didn't they add co op missions in one of those two, it'll be fun to actually get a chance to play those.. you'd think having 5 brothers I'd get some co op.. but they're only really into Fifa -_-

Providing it's cheap (Like 20 pounds from a UK import store), I'd give the Prince of Persia Trilogy a go.

Having alot of fun playing PoP: Forgotten Sands, it feels like the authentic PoP experience and feels a lot better than the 08 version even though that had its upsides.

I would imagine that it would be organized somewhat like the GOW collection. As in, someone else does the port and it comes out within a half year before the third game. If it's too early or comes out afterwards, it won't help sell The Last Guardian. They can't delay work on TLG, though, so they'll have to have someone else on it.
I'd also imagine that we wouldn't get much word on it until we get a release date for TLG too. We... er... don't have one yet, right? I might have missed it...

@LockeDaemonfire - No release date yet. I'm sure we'll get one at Tokyo Game Show though (my guess is no sooner than Holiday 2011, but I hope I'm wrong)
Fumito Ueda talked about a Team Ico Collection as if he'd like to work on it, but the possibility always exists for a third party to do it I suppose. That would kind of be a shame though, because there are some minor improvements I'd like to see done (like a finished upper Shrine of Worship in Shadow of the Colossus as was originally planned) that I'm not sure a third party would be able or willing to do.

That's true. I'd prefer to wait for a Team ICO release and make sure that it's done properly. Or even better, that they've added extras to the game. A few more Colossi would be nice (some were cut because of lack of processing power). I also believe that the final colossus was fixed to the ground because of same reason.
If Team ICO can remake SotC into more like what they imagined, then I will appreciate the wait.

Didn't Konami already release a Metal Gear Solid Collection? If I recall correctly they release all three games and a PSP game in Japan in one collection, and here in the states they did the same with Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 on PS2.

This is awesome! Definitely getting both of these. The original Splinter Cell games are what made me fall in love with the series.

Given that I thoroughly enjoyed The Forgotten Sands recently, I think I'd bite at an HD collection filled with PoP games I've never played before. I hope this is true.

I would probably buy a Prince of Persia Collection only cause I don't have the original game but have the second and third game. As for Splinter Cell, I've only played Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, and Double Agent and those ports weren't as good as the Xbox version. If Ubisoft could get the Xbox ports on PS3 as they are the better version, I would get this game. I know Sony is looking into more HD remastered titles but am surprised they haven't gotten to Rockstar to give us GTA Trilogy on PS3; GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas.
