I hate to call bullshit on this but it sounds a little too much like a forgotten episode of the Friday the 13th TV Series. "Who was Ben? We don't speak that name anymore... ever since that dark night..."

So heresay is evidence, what about public record?

THIS should be Viral Marketing for a darker sequel of MM.

That'd make me happy.

This posts title reminds my of a copy of MM I actually did own. One of the songs from OOT that isn't in MM would work. I can't remember which one, but instead doing anything normal it would change the game song to the 3rd day/night song (I think) and then after a random amount of time the game screen would turn all red except for link and then owl feathers would be frozen all over the screen like I had been in the middle of the teleport song.

I can only assume they fixed it in later versions of the game, because when I tried it in another copy of MM the song didn't register at all. Though maybe it requires another MM song to be unlocked first, I tried googling it just now but it would be easier to find if I knew which song it had been

Calling fake on this. Just too well done with the video capture and everything to be mere glitches, or a "haunted cartridge".

That said...it was still damn creepy.

Because it has a ghost story to go with it. Are you completely unable to enjoy works of fiction?

Having played the game on an emulator as well as my console, I'd have to say it looks like it's from an emulator too. Everything is too crisp, too clear for a n64 game.

N64 games just don't look good on HDTVs. The native resolution is pretty damn small, too with 320x240 being the average. 640x480 being the max but I don't know if any game would do that natively.

If the guy had a brain, he'd send it out to a tube tv and record with a camera to make it look realistic.

This is a fake.

So yeah, pretty safe to say this is bunk.

@Shadsy - And here I thought we were looking at "genuinely" hacked ROMs that befell some poor soul.

Oh well, fan-effing-tastic read on the whole ordeal. Guy's got a knack for it.

Yeah, I don't really get why this guy writes up these nightmare-inducing stories, but they're nonetheless effective. I actually lost sleep over the Pokemon Ghost Black story, and I now refuse to read anything else about "creepy hacks".
