good news maybe, still need to wait how the service will develop. But for me who don't have credit card (and never will even touch bloody thing) it's a easy way to subscribe!

@DokiDokiBawanga It's easy to use a regular PSN card, and make the purchase with that..or a debit/credit card.

$50 for a coupon club is a waste, though. You can buy 5 $10 PSN games, the day they come out, instead of hoping and waiting months for those to either be free, or have a $1 - $2 discount.

@mywhitenoise

yea but with PS+ you don't get 5 psn games, you get 12. And you get minis, ps1 games, avatars and themes, dlc (free or discounted), free game trials, exclusive demos and betas, and other discounts....

@liquidsoap89 12 games I've owned for over a year, minis I don't care for, PS1 games I've already owned, avatars and themes I would have never used or bought, DLC with minimal discounts months after I've already bought them, game trials for old games like inFamous, or crap games like Red Faction, demos that will eventually be released, and betas to "selected" members.

@mywhitenoise See every complaint you have begins with "I". So why even bother to post anything? It's your problem and not general problems with PSN+

Just like we see with xbox live

Seems counter-intuitive to pay for discounts. How much stuff would you have to buy in a year to even break even on this thing? Pass.

@onan

Technically, none. If you just downloaded all the free PSN, PS1, and minis games made available, you would more than break even. The discounts, themes, avatars, early access demos and games, and occasional beta invites are all bonuses.

@ijustw1n PS+ hasn't even been out for a year and it's not a proven business model for Sony, so yes. Fledgling.

@DokiDokiBawanga

Well what ben is saying is that you can purchase a $50 psn card, of a $50 Plus card. Same thing. But some people might not realize that. You can't use your MS points to renew you LIVE member ship. So people might assume it's the same for PSN/PSN+.

It just like how you can buy a MS points card, but stores still sell cards that you can redeem for a particular game. Like the post says, it's just to bring more attention to a particular product.

PSN+ Is just another attempt at Sony to copy Microsoft and make some money. Like everything else though that they try to copy its done half a** and has no real value.

How dare Sony try to make money. If only they were more like Microsoft.

couldn't retailers lower the price on the subscription if they wanted to kind of like Live memberships? i think that is the big picture here and reason to care. we all know you can buy it online, but i doubt Sony will be dropping the price very often.

I am loving PS+. New discounts, dlc, minis, psOne classics, psn games, avatars, themes every month is awesome in my opinion. I know hating on PS+ or any new gaming service in the undustry for that matter is cool on the interent but I'm swimming against the flow on this one.

PSN + Is an awesome service, People complaining about it need to pull their head out of the sand. I have a bunch of games i would never have bought before but now im really glad i got to try them out. 50 dollars, less than one new retail game. You really can't go wrong with this. Plus Kore is the shit, and it's free with PSN+. Also automatic downloads saves a lot of time.

I was gonna say that buying a PS+ card is the same thing as buying a $50 PSN card, but then I thought about how some people don't bother to look something like that up or just don't know about what PSN credits can be used for.
