Perhaps most interesting about the dev diary is the comic team's tease at the end that their story could find its way into a future Assassin's Creed title. Though we stand by our desire for a post-Civil War, Reconstruction Era Assassin's Creed game, one set in the Russian revolution doesn't sound too shabby either.
Assassin's Creed: The Fall comic book detailed in dev diary

Outside of the comic's early 20th century Russia setting and the main character's name, little information has been released on the forthcoming Assassin's Creed comic, Assassin's Creed: The Fall; however, a developer diary released today details the comic's narrative, setting, main character, and how he fits into the franchise's overall timeline. Nikolai Orelov will be leaping from Russian rooftops and landing his (likely freezing cold) twin blades into the necks of important men like Tsar Alexander III.

Assassins Creed is one of the most epic things created our generation, right up there with the Halo universe

What the heck would a "Reconstruction era" AC look like? The main character mingling with the Klan (given their gowns and hoods) and then assassinating them all? I can just imagine Republicans whining that the game is attacking the Southern "heritage" and "values"...
The Southern rural setting doesn't really lend itself to tall buildings, anyway, though...

@matrices the south was overwhelmingly made up of Democrats during the racial issues in America. Even up until the 70's where the layout of political ideas was changing, there were still democrats in political positions who opposed integration.
Try to get your facts straight, this isn't reddit. Plus, it's a video game forum, so your comment is not only incorrect, it's completely off topic.

Also, wherever they set their next game, let them be done with their silly and unsatisfying combat system. Assassinations are fine, but the combat just doesn't measure up. Take a hint from Arkham. A freeflow combat system in the AC universe would be sick.

I always thought the Russian Revolution would be perfect for Assassin's Creed. Too bad it's not a game.

I wouldn't mind the next setting either to be Victorian England or Imperial Japan. But imagine if Ubi to a huge risk and went all futuristic...something Like Dues Ex: Human Evolution now that would awesome...

You probably could have guessed it, but I hope to sweet baby jesus that they make a game set in the Russian Revolution.

I really hope they dont set the game during the russian revolution not because I think it would be a bad area to set it in but if you think about the technological advances by that point well the combat would be completely ruined and it could turn into another generic stealth shooter
