It's nice to know they focused on a number of things that won't get nerfed in the future.

??

I don't see it tell ing YOU that you have to play 12 hours a day to get good, or to have fun, just that that is what the pros do. You know, you people making money off of the game?

It's not just the pros that play 12 hours a day, it's the Korean Pros that make a living off of playing SC2 that practice 12 hours a day. The Korean pros that you will never ever play because they are on the Asia server, and even then they'll be at the top of the diamond leagues. In other words SC2 is their job.

No, guys Bagels is right. I just heard that the average NFL player has to practice and work-out between 4 and 6 hours a day. So I'm throwing away all my footballs. Baseballs too! I bet those guys practice a lot. No way I'm going to commit to that!
What's this? The average cross-country athlete runs 35-45 miles a week? Screw that! I'm tossing out all of my shoes!

woof, i miscomunnicated that. I was sorta commenting on how I suck at StarCraft, and I guess I couldn't be as good as those guys without sinking a massive amount of time I don't have into it. I mean, I only just won my first match today. Doesn't meant I won't enjoy the game. And yes I read and comprehended the article.

Nothing listed here I haven't learned the hard way since starting the Beta day 1 back in March. Not sure I agree with the "make 30+ workers" part. In the 20s is ideal, and if you're diamond obviously you'll need mad workers to keep up with the competition, but noobs have bigger fish to fry than keeping their worker queue full all game.

@xSFx Well the maximum saturation point is 3 workers per mineral patch or geyser. At the typical 8 mineral patch, 2 geyser base, this means 30 workers. Building non-stop scv's, it'll take you almost 7 minutes to fully populate. Probes take almost 9 minutes. Drone production is obviously very variable based on Queen usage and such.

By the time you near 30 workers, though, you'll probably be close to expanding, which is why this rule of thumb works pretty well. Then you can maynard half the workers to your new expo, at which point you probably should continue making more workers to fully saturate those sites.

In my experience, good macro makes up for a lot more than good micro. If you practice keeping your production up and your output high, then winning each skirmish isn't quite as important.
