GoldenEye 007 vignette totally wrecks St. Petersburg
12
Our favorite part of Goldeneye 007 -- the movie and N64 game -- was when James Bond, tired of his usual stealthy modus operandi, hopped into a tank and just went to town on St. Petersburg. In the video below, we get a look at this (somewhat more explosive) sequence in the game's spiritual Wiimake.

Hey, I'm in Da Burg too.
In American St. Petersburg, Joystiq readers downvote you!

Funny how 7 years back, I never thought a game made in 2010 would look worse than a game made in 2003.
I want to like this game, but why aren't they pushing the Wii's graphical capabilities to it's limits? Hopefully it'll be an awesome multiplayer at least. Even my girlfriend got stoked when I told her a new version of Goldeneye from N64 was being made for Wii (and she *HATES* videogames with a passion you wouldn't believe).

If this game turns out to be at least good, not even stellar, I will probably end up picking it up. From everything I have heard, it gets the job done even though a lot of the game details have been changed enough to get people kind of irked for those who played it more than a decade ago.
Isn't it kind of weird how people still remember small nuances of a game from over 10 years ago and remember what is changed? I am not saying it is good or bad one way or another, just noting that this game must have really had a heck of an impact on people and gaming culture for that to happen like that.

So... It's kinda a remake, right? I wanted it to be a graphics overhaul of the original, but I think this is gonna be a lot more representative of the movie. The places where it seems similar to the '64 game are going to be sequences that the original got right the first time.
