We're doing our best to make this Steam Halloween sale scary

"Did ... did you hear that? That creepy noise, coming from the direction of Steam. What is that? It sounds like ... Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 for $15."

Steam's Halloween sale is upon us, and you can't hide from these terrifying deals. Actually, we suppose you can, since they're just going to sit there on the site until November 1. The inanimate, inert, pleasant, but also totally spooky deals include Worms: Reloaded and Team Fortress 2 for $9.99 each, and the Overlord pack for $7.49.

With prices this good, the only scary thing is missing out on this sale. Although there are Steam sales all the time, so it's really just slightly inconvenient if you don't get anything this time. Um, boooooooo! Ghosts!

Sure, $10 might be good, but when you know they're willing to sell it for $2.50 occasionally, why rush?

When ISN'T Valve selling Team Fortress 2 for half-off?

I would recommend Amnesia the dark descent if you want horror.

Agreed. Everyone go play the demo. If you guys thought Dead Space was scary, think again.

Also, you could lose your soul for $5 and get Plants Vs. Zombies.

Amnesia is the most frightening game I've played since System Shock 2. I spent a lot of time hiding in closets even before I saw the first monster and I always closed doors after me so that they couldn't get me from behind. In short, it made me feel like a child afraid of the dark.

Please support the developers so that they can keep making terrifying horror games.

@harusame You should try out Penumbra Black Plague (if you haven't already) by the same developer. Even though I would say Amnesia is better in every way, Black Plague is still very good and worth playing!

Great sale, except that all the games that I wanted I already got on previous sales.

Can I just say - I'm getting sick of all these Steam sales. I mean seriously, how much more of this can we take? Half the time I see games I already have, and the other half I see games that I just bought recently on a sale that wasn't quite as good...

Who am I kidding - Bring On More Sales! :D

These sales give me the urge to buy games I already own through Steam... good thing that's not possible.

I'll buy it when I get home today. I've already beaten it on a pirated copy that my neighbor gave me, but I'll gladly hand over $5 for a legal copy of this awesome game.

Why must my computer have aged so poorly... I'd love to pick up TF2 for PC. I love the 360 version but I'd like to get a taste of all the updates too. :(

Just bought Plants vs Zombies for $4.99 since I never played the game and heard it was addictive!

I think I am totally going to be jumping on bored with the Left4Dead pack. I wanted to play the original and was thinking of picking it up to get into the holiday season and get some Halloween themed gaming going, but didn't really know if I wanted to pay $40 for both games seeing as I am not sure how into them I would get since most of my gaming time these days are either single player on the consoles or PC or playing with some friends on the couch in the same room; usually on the same TV.

If anyone wants Amensia, it's on sale on Impulse for $9.99 right now. Cheaper than it is on Steam.

The euro price on Impulse is a bit higher at €9.99. Europeans can get it cheaper on GamersGate (€7.49).

Finally got Burn Zombie Burn. Just the kind of game I love, really should have got this earlier.

How good is overlord? I think I'll get it and bioshock since I never finished it.
