You'll love the smell of this Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam trailer

Battlefield: Bad Company 2's downloadable Vietnam expansion will bring four new maps, 15 weapons and six vehicles into the first-person fray this Winter. The latest trailer is presented without release date, but does highlight just how you'll find release for all those weekly anxieties. As dear Alfred says, some men just want to watch the world burn.

So if it's an expansion pack, then is it only going to be playable through the BFBC2 disc? Like will it have it's own playlists or be integrated into existing ones or something?

I hope it is better than Battlefield Vietnam. That game was terrible.

@FriedConsole Aw come on it wasn't completely terrible! You didn't any enjoyment from floating down a river in a swift boat with 'War (What is it Good For) blasting on the radio?! What about flying around in Hueys with 'Fortunate Son' blaring while you pick up other players for transport?

The music was the only thing good about that game.

I have yet to play a game where a flamethrower is actually useful.

I'm interested to see if they implement the flamethrower in a way that would make it useful. I hope its like World at War.
Sooner this gets out the better. The original Battlefield Vietnam has a special place in my heart. I hope this does the legacy (of one game) justice.

I wish this was a standalone game. I'd pay $15 in a heartbeat for a multiplayer only battlefield vietnam on my xbox.

Loving the looks of this. Its a shame BF:BC 2 didn't get more recognition, probably the best multiplayer experience of the year. Anyone else wish they had made BF:1943 (also awesome) a mode in the main game, like they are doing with this Vietnam pack? That game was a blast, but I feel like its appeal dwindled as a standalone.

@Frostfell
I agree, BF1943 is still awesome, I've actually gotten back into it after burning myself out on BF:BC2 temporarily (how many frickin points does it take to get to rank 50, a billion?!) I'm guessing EA doesn't want to split the user base for BF:BC2, and honestly destruction 2.0 is so great, I can't wait to level me some villages.
Warning, 1943 is mainly filled with hardcore peeps that have been playing it everyday for over a year. I get destroyed almost every time I play, but I relish the challenge of taking out one of those level 50 bastards.

This is an update to original Vietnam game just like 1943 was to 1942. Except this time the clever execs at EA are making people buy BFBC2 game disc in order to be able to buy this. Technically what the hell does Vietnam have to do with anything related to the boys in Bad Company? Nothing.
To Battlefield fans it's non-issue, just sayin' it's a bit sneaky and dilutes the Bad Company brand.
Still, can't wait to get this.
